Tink
I’m Homed
Hi Ruth, have you or anyone got any advice on toilet training???? We are struggling a bit with this as Tink is toileting everywhere. We can only take her for little walks as she has only just been spayed, but she wont wee outside. I was outside with her for quite a while yesterday hoping she would wee and came back inside and then done it. We are putting a puppy pad down now to try and contain where she is toileting and she is doing it on that now, but i'm not sure if that is just encouraging her? Any ideas would be much appreciated.Thank you, Suex

Ruby
Over the Rainbow Bridge
hi ! Just to let you know, the first night went better than we could have expected 🙂 . Ruby slept all night in her bed in the living room, without so much as a murmer. I'd left the door open so that she could come upstairs to us if she liked (our dogs usually sleep upstairs with us) but she seemed quite happy in her bed and was quite reluctant to get out of it at 6 am for a walk so gave her a lie in and she went for a walk on the school run where she met all shaped and sized dogs with no probs. No accidents during the night either! Absolutely amazed at how well she's settled in. 😀

my heart really went out to this poor little girl when I saw her today. What an emotional time she's been having poor baby, first loosing her friend, then her home of three years, she must be so shell shocked bless her. Really hope she finds a home soon. (I must say, she does look comfy on that sofa 🙂 )x

I have 2 pigs, kept outside in summer & inddors in winter. Ny 2 greys love them - but have yet to try & eat them. They really only get interested if the pigs move around - wonder why???? Ha Ha, we manage just fine, I just partially cover the indoor cage so the dogs walk on by without noticing too much and have never tried to have the pigs out with the dogs around.

What a lovely photo of Ruby and her new family. Sounds like you have an open invitation Ruth to visit any time and looks like Ruby will be really loved, so don't be too sad. Mand x

I'm a member of the Jake Fan Club too. He is a stunning boy, very distinguished and seemed to be the most chilled out fella to me. He was very grateful for the Dentastix I bought him and wagged his tail round and round (yes really, round and round like a helicopter!). I loved him and felt like whisking him away myself. Go and see for yourself, he's an absolute smasher! Mand x

Oh bless her, great to hear how well she's settled in. I was visiting the kennels for some food for our two when you and your Mum took her for a walk and reserved her (I might have been tempted to snaffle her away myself had you not have reserved her!). It was plain to see that she had 'picked' you and your Mum and even more obvious to see how much you were going to love her. Glad to hear things are going well and that she was a star at your Dad's nursing home - I bet everyone there will want her visiting all the time. Take care. Mand x

When I first began to rehome greyhounds I had a guinea pig and a naughty rabbit! After an initial sniff through the hutch Bobby soon lost interest, each of mine have had different reactions to small fluffies, some positive some negative, it boils down to the personality of the dog, don't let it put you off rehoming a greyhound, with patience and a bit of work they can live harmoniously together.
