It's Ciaras birthday today and she started it with a lie in followed by a gentle stroll, all that excitement got a bit much for her so she is now having a lie down 🙂

Its our Princess Pop Pops (Poppy) 6th Birthday on Tuesday, so were celebrating from today ! Just a little update, she has come on leaps and bounds with accepting other animals/Breeds and is understanding that the world is not just full of beautiful Greyhounds, she is now fantastic with Jasmine cat to the point where the cat will happily walk over Pops head, something that wasnt possible for the first 15 months Ha ha ! She now has accepted our new additions, chickens ! yep you read it right, she will happliy live with CHICKENS !! (along with Sonny of course) She is such a beautiful girl who loves to play - and someone you can have a real converstion with ! (she actually answers back when you speak to her !) All in all we love her to bits our beautiful mad little Pop Pops !! xxxxxxxxx

I am so so sad for this poor girl, words cannot describe the shock at seeing a beautiful hound in such an awful condition, I look at our two and wonder how on earth some one can let there pet get into this kind of state, thank goodness she has now found her way to Daybreaks by whatever means - Im sure Jill will have her looking tip top in no time, and I really hope her previous owners are being investigated/charged for for this appaling neglect. Sending big cuddles and kisses beautfiul girl, hopefully I will meet you in person and pass on my cuddles and kisses to you, Loads of Love Leanne xxxxxxxx

Sid

Sid is still doing amazingly well,last saturday he went on a greyhound walk in westonbirt, He loved it! we met loads of other greyhounds and a greyhound called Dash and her owner Andrew Dilger who has written a book about Dash called 'Bitch of The Year' which was nice.We also went on another walk with his friend Kevin again,But we were wondering could we take Sid to Cardiff for the day because we have family in cardiff and they'd love to meet Sid but we are worried if its going to be too much for him? They have a small dog(jack russell) who is okay with other dogs and Sid seems to only get scared of other breeds of dogs who are the same size a him.Do you think it will be too much??

Just returned from a few days at the seaside and seen the pictures of Pippa ,she really is a little Pip-Squeak poor thing but glad to see she has a good appetite and is on the mend.I am so glad she found Daybreaks and was rescued in time to have a good future. My little lurcher Millie weighs 19 kilos and that really brings home how low Pippas weight was.

This lad has stolen my heart already..... he is such a beautiful boy - fabulous temperament and I know will make a really great pet. He was great with a family with young girls who came to visit and not at all interested in all the fluffy toys we waved past him. I am going to try and take him on a cat test later which I will be amazed if he fails.... wish him luck!

Joey has been such a good boy today!! We went on a lovely 45 minute walk and he has done lots of wees in the garden! He is still quite anxious and didn't eat all of his dinner but we tempted him with some pilchards and a boiled egg. Been brilliant with the cats and totally ignored them - they arent so sure though!

Pippa is amazing, she just laps up affection and loves people, she is so clever and despite what she has been through she comes trotting up for cuddles, time 2 say goodbye 2 her past and welcome her to her future now, she couldn't be in better hands with her foster parents, Jill and Paul will have her looking like a picture of health before we know it ! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Ruth I've not been on for a while, only to check on Fizzy, It's a very dangerous place for me to be!!! Just need to know that this little girl is in a semi-permanent place? If you need help with her, just let us know?! X Deb ps. Ellie Cat is fine, although now living upstairs & in & out of the girls' bedroom window onto the conservatory roof! Its where she feels comfortable & safe, but she is fine & adjusted to that so all is well. Please do let me know if you need me, I am just speechless, but never surprised after the state our Maisie was in!! I have every hope for this little one now she has found you XXXX
