Charlie (Glynn)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi everyone... Whilst out on our walk this afternoon I think charlie may have eaten a small chicken wing bone, someone had dumped a kfc box in the grass and charlie got to it before I even noticed and ate something!!! This was about 2 hours ago and he seems ok and has eaten his tea and is asleep! Should I be worried? He hasn't choked or anything but I am a bit worried xxx

Flash
I’m Homed
Sunday (day 15 in her foster home) Flash has been in the house now for the last seven days after the caravan holiday. Still no accidents (remarkable) and has settled well. She is recovering from her mid-week spaying but also yesterday needed a bandage on the end of her tail after some over-enthusiastic wagging. She is interested in our cat who isn’t too keen but we had a similar situation when we brought our first grey home two years ago. After a time settling in and a scratched nose the two eventually got on and now tolerate each other and sometimes even play and share the fire. This needs some work and patience but Flash seems to be more interested in something new that moves and makes strange noises rather than showing aggression (presumably there are not many cats at racing kennels!) and the two have been kept apart. She is very talkative and enthusiastic when the leads come off the hook. She walks nicely on a lead and has been loose in an enclosed field.

I’m Homed
Ged has been over to see his Auny Ruth before going to his new forever home with Mommy Sue. He is the sweetest natured dog I've ever come across, all he wants is to find people he can rely on and trust to love him, keep him warm, feed him so he's never hungry and who never gets angry with him..... funny, that's what we humans need too ;-). I'm in love with greyhounds.... lol...

Mindy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Deb well the day was great for Mindy but what with her daughters actions she would not have approved, there again all things work out well in the end. Sylv and John

Well Bullett the Icemaid was a character, I think she would not have been too pleased at her daughters behaviour as she was so laid back, but when Flossie took off it was such a shock. Shame her legs got so bad at the end. Sylv and John xx

This boy came to training again on Saturday and he is unrecognisable from a few weeks ago.His coat is amazing now and he looks like a different dog.His mum has been using a natural herbal remedy based on nettles and the difference is unbelievable. He is the original gentle giant and particularly adored by Jo an elderly lady who comes to watch the dogs at training he snuggles up to her waiting for the treat she has fetched him. He is one handsome boy!

We have the same problem a garden that looks like a racing track and brown spots everywhere. We have recently reseeded part of the lawn more in hope than anything else. Looked up dog rocks on the internet and always thought they were something you put in the garden for the dogs to wee on not put in their drinking water! I think we have accepted our garden will never be the same since having Millie which isn't a problem but managing muddy paws in the winter is a bit of a pain!

Mindy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well the sad day was a hit with the weather. As we live close to a canal & Mindy loved her walks there, we decided to take her on a day boat from Stoke Golding to Market Bosworth. Leaving just after 10 and approx.15 mins into the journey doing the correct thing with a narrow boat on the side away from the tow path, friend June and I sat in the open part at the front holding Flossie's collar, a dog barked at her on the towpath, Flossie jumped up high and with a big splash 'YES GREYHOUNDS CAN SWIM' then came the problem of getting to the towpath side in an area one could get off, John steering, friend Sam jumped off, Flossie passing the boat going in the direction we had passed, a moored boat we had passed pulled her from the water and all was well after drying her off. On the return journey we scattered Mindy.s ashes between bridges 30 & 29 so in future we have access to the towpath from the road. With things I had forgotten it was Flossie's b/day yesterday now aged 6 Sylv & John
