Floppy is going to join us on the Saturday Greyhound training clubs Easter walk. Ruth I have begun a plan to chip away at the hubbies resistance to a second hound. Bringing him into kennels on the grounds of buying a bag of treats for Millie is just the start of it! Getting him to agree to taking Floppy for an outing was just a bit too easy! Hopefully my doggie training friends will drop subtle hints in the morning for those of you coming prepare your strategy! Debs and Millie X

Saw Bubble today she is so friendly wagging her tail,loving cuddles and so funny as she tried to pinch one of the volunteers cup of tea. She is gorgeous and will make a fabulous pet.

Poor Tommy, yesterday on arrival at the kennels he was limping with a swollen paw. I took him to the vets and they managed to dig out a deep peice of grit. He spent the night at mine last night and has been so sweet. Apart from getting very excited with the arrival of dinner and breakfast, he is a quiet, gentle boy who loves to be cuddled. He is not bothered by our chickens, was unmuzzled with our 6 greys and little Mel and met loads of other breeds in the vets yesterday and was really good with all. He was unmuzzled when he met a tiny white Westie so he will be great with other breeds.

Lucy is coming back off her hols today and going straight to her new home 🙂 I am so grateful to Jayne and her family for giving her a wonderful holiday - it looks like she has had a great time and also thank you to Beryl for offering her a wonderful home for the rest of her days x

I haven't even asked ruth yet lol! He still hasn't said yes the only worry I have is havin floppy over easter and if o/h won't let him stay I will have to tale him back and someone else might have had him over easter! Aaagghhh! Hope you have a lovely easter too ina... See you soon I hope xxx

Fiona, i hope that you are able to take this gorgeous boy even if its just for the easter weekend...to be honest i have never just had one dog or at least not for a very long time as i have always found that they are happier if they have a canine companion..keeping my fingers crossed for you and for Floppy. 🙂 Happy Easter... i shan't be down for the next 2 weeks as working non stop to cover my colleagues hols. xxxx

Well All, The Icemaid back at the vets this afternoon (should have been tomorrow but due to Bank Holiday) Well the weeping tumour has stopped & the rest continues as usual. There was a small problem on leaving the vet's Mindy decided she was doing a runner & with hubby having a problem with his knee some catching up took place, she took to hiding in a joiners workshop, she may have only three legs going at a pace but faster than hubby's.(The tablets must be dueing her good!! perhaps hubby should be on the same tablets.) weight back up to 27 kilo's Sylv xx

Hi, are you in Kenilworth too? Do you know Parliament Piece, through a kissing gate just off the road out of K'worth into Cov? We thought it would be ages until we let Mia off the lead but we do it every evening now - she has a good run round, usually sees a couple of rabbits and a couple of other dogs and really enjoys herself! A few people I've spoken to say they let their dogs off there as it's a safe area, but it is pretty big so if your dog isn't that good on recall (and Mia isn't - seems to find it hilarious to let us get really close and then trot off again!) it might take a while to get your dog back!!! But we've checked all round and the field is fully fenced all round, a small dog may get through but greyhounds and larger breeds should be absolutely fine!

Go Fi - Floppy looks sssssooooooooooooooooo lovely, and Charlie was happy round Kingsbury with another grey ! Give it a go, u probably won't find 2 any more trouble than 1, we didn't with little Jo, in fact Toby has been a lot more content now he has a sister !! Good luck with what ever u decide mate x x x
