Penny
I’m Homed
Penny came on the Sutton walk with me Buddy, Jack and my 2 legged 8 year old Jamie, who isn't girl friendly (just wait 'til hormones kick in!) She was an absolute poppet, jumped straight into my car and snuggled down with my 2, not 1 grumble from anyone. She walked well on her harness, was interested in other breeds, in a "I'm not sure what you are" sort of way, I think she just lacks a bit of confidence with them. She met a gorgeous black boy greyhound and happily walked next to him most of the way round, I think there was chemistry, a potential big brother? (hint, hint?!) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a forever home out there for you soon, you deserve it x

Hi we were training with Penny too the other day and she was so well behaved! Pip and Molly are quite excitable at training but she wasn't fazed in the slightest! We saw Penny before she left the kennels and she was so bouncy, she was a totally different dog yesterday, no barking or jumping she was so wonderful! Fingers crossed she will get a forever home soon, she really is a treasure x x

Iris
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well Iris has now discovered our bed! Went upstairs last night and there she was spread out with that"I'm not moving for anyone" look on her face! She is being a good girl with the cats but just wants to "eat" the chickens, thank goodness they are safe behind lots of chicken wire! Lump measured yesterday and hasn't grown anymore. We know that her time is limited but we are grateful for every new day.

Penny
I’m Homed
I was lucky enough to spend today in Penny's company . She had her first training session with Julie and was very well behaved. Outside she walked around the other dogs with no fuss and inside she relaxed a lot and mingled well with other greyhounds and lurchers. (The muzzle only came off briefly during the 'leave the treat' training Julie)! Thanks to all those at the training session who came over and introduced your dogs, it was lovely to have your support. Back home Penny met my cocker spaniel, Rowan and my greyhound, Gracie. There was no trouble at all, she got on very well with Rowan, even playing with him, and was again very well behaved in my home.We went for a walk in the park and she is strong on the lead but controllable. She was keen with smaller dogs, better with the bigger ones.Throughout the day she was affectionate and so sweet, coming up for cuddles and snuggling behind me on the sofa. She really does deserve a good home, if I had room for three I would take her myself, I did not want to take her back! I shall take her out again next Saturday but please do not be put off by her kennel behaviour, she is a little star and someone is going to be very lucky. Nite Penny, be good x

Sounds like she is very discerning in terms of who she chooses to be friends with! Wise old lady! She was at Bark Inn with Scottie so maybe she is just picky about her friends!

Met Penny at training this morning, dont know what all the fuss is about! She was well behaved ,enjoyed being made a fuss of her and even let IRIS sniff her bum without reacting.Dont tell Julie but her muzzle came off for a few minutes whilst Julie went out with the so called reactive dogs.Penny enjoyed her treats and is very clever getting the hang of food refusal training at the first go. She was lovely with the children at training and I am sure the right home is out there for her.She is so clever she just needs to learn to show this side of herself to potential adopters. Hopefull we will see her at training next preferably with a new mummy or daddy in tow. Go on Penny you can do it!!
