I am so grateful to Jill and Paul for making Iris one of their family despite her prognosis. Nothing breaks my heart more than one like Iris going without being owned as a part of someone's family and tonight when Jill asked me if she could adopt her and delay what was booked for Friday, a weight was lifted from me. After going through what we did with Lucy I know Jill and Paul will not let her suffer but know even if she has a few more days, weeks or even months, she will be loved so much as much as we love her.

Iris is such a special girl that Paul and I have decided to adopt her and give her a forever home and a loving family. She is stopping at aunty Ruths tonight for lots of special cuddles and we will bring her home tomorrow. We will keep you all up to date with her progress. Jill xxx

Iris has had a lovely day on Brean Sands today with Bobby, Rocky and Foxy! and of course me, Julia and Becky. The sun shone and we walked for ages, sadly we couldn't get her an ice cream as nowhere was open but I made her a pilchard cake to make up for it. She is now curled up on the sofa waiting for me to take her back to aunty Ruths.

Iris sweetheart, I have just read the news. How unfair, that you can finally have a happy home and this. Ruth you must be heartbroken (I feel heatbroken just reading about her), but you are giving her the best week any dog could ever have. Iris you have the best time this week, and when you go over to Rainbow Bridge there will be lots of friends waiting to greet you. God bless you sweetheart xxxxxx
