Caesar

Caesar has been at my house since we collected him from his foster home. Since being at mine, other than being a food monster he has been so good - especially with Tigger, Momma, Tony and more recently Champ. Sadly my house is far too small and my life too hectic for 5 at home so I am appealing desperately for a foster home for this poorly boy. His prognosis at best is approximately 18 months (he has a mast cell tumour on his tongue and we are not going to operate as we feel that making his life more difficult with eating and drinking is not fair on him. If anyone could take this happy boy - even for a short while as I just don't want to leave him at the kennels and my life is too hectic - please give us a call at the kennels. 0121 782 7702 xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
So last week the slaves and I went back to the caravan in Burnham! I had a greyt time. So good to be back on the beach. I just love the sand so much. We actually walked all the way from our part of the beach to the town. It was about 15 minutes away maybe??? Not sure. Was a very nice walk and I got doggy ice cream! It was SO nice. They slaves left me at the caravan the one day to go and get garden furniture so they can eat outside. Looked very nice but they looked quite funny struggling to get the boxes out the car. I’ve also done my own gardening. We have a lot of unexpected flowers which are lovely that came out! It makes the garden look very nice! I give them a good water. I’m so helpful. I also helped cut the bits of grass that were in the ground by doing a cow impression. The hoomans weren’t impressed. Can’t believe they didn’t appreciate the help. I also made a great human friend with mummy’s uncle! He has a cat so I can’t visit him but he comes and see us as he is part of our bubble. No clue what that’s means but sounds good. I demanded fuss off him and cuddled up to him! Can’t wait to see him again. That’s all for now! Speak Soon! Lubs Russ xx

It didn't take long for this lovely boy to have an enquiry. We took him to see the cats, he liked them, but.......NOT in a good way. Hmmmm, he had a visitor this afternoon, watch this space, some serious thinking to be done, but.......x

I feel bad - how did we miss the fact that it was gorgeous Samson's birthday at the kennels today!?!?!? He had a nice day anyway, 2 lovely walks in the sunshine and sardines for supper, so not too bad - but I must apologise to him tomorrow and take him a special, belated treat. xx

What can I say - what a stunner. Such a good boy standing patiently for his arrival checks and bath, he enjoyed his walk and was taking everything in around him. He got a bit spooked by the noisy lorries, not surprised really, but was happy to trot along other than that. He has the most beautiful eyes that look right at you. I may be a bit biased though, because he is the spitting image of my late Shane. I envisage his stay at Daybreaks will be a short one!! xx

Poor Lisa is on restricted exercise whilst she recovers from her broken hock which means she can't go off lead in the sand run or go on a long walk. She is such a happy, bouncy little girl I am sure when she is fully recovered, she is going to be such a bundle of fun to be around. She does love to cuddle too. xx

Daybreaks Diary!

Another glorious sunny day - and 2 walks without coats for our residents (and us!!). We all appreciated feeling the sun on our backs. I met yesterdays new arrivals, handsome Jake and the very cute Lisa. Jake is a very striking, tall, leggy boy who looks like he is wearing a pair of long white socks on his front legs!! He strides out on his walks, but is just interested in his new surroundings and excited to see what's about. Sadly for Lisa she is recovering from a broken hock so her exercise is restricted at the moment. She is a lovely bundle of fun, and I can imagine when she is fully recovered she will be a live wire indeed! As she was a bit vocal in her kennel, she spent the day reclining on a raised bed in the feeding run watching the world go by. x Mid morning saw the arrival of Daybreaks latest family members, pretty little Elle and the impossibly gorgeous Friend. Both earned gold stars for standing so beautifully for their arrival checks and behaving very well in the bath. They enjoyed the afternoon walk, both curious about their surroundings and getting a bit spooked by the big lorries whooshing past, but otherwise walking nicely. Friend is the absolute spitting image of my late Shane, even down to his size and beautiful eyes. I can't see him having time to unpack his suitcase somehow!! Just a reminder that we are running an appointment system at the kennels, so please give us a call to book your visit - whatever it may be for. Well, the weekend is here again, and lets hope this amazing weather holds out. We have viewings booked, so keep fingers crossed for a few more red or green signs by Monday morning. I shall be raising my usual glass of chilled white wine later to toast our boys & girls, we have some beautiful Greys in kennels at the minute. As always, stay distanced, stay safe - cheers!!
