George
I’m Homed
George travelled very well, we left at about 4:30 and got home at about 8:30 with a stop at Taunton Deane services for a biiiiiiig wee and a leg stretch. He has settled in well, lots of exploration this morning and has met our daughter's 17 year old terrierist without any issues. We have been very lucky to have found him, he is just what we had been looking for. And a big thank you to the folks we met yesterday, everybody was friendly, helpful and clearly cared a great deal about the dogs. A great experience, thank you.

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Jake went off with Ruth first thing this morning for his neutering operation. He bounced back into the kennels later this afternoon! He seemed a little uncomfortable, but still managed to eat his dinner. He will be going home on Thursday. :)) Phoenix arrived mid morning. What a very sweet lad he is. Thanks to Lucy for the great photos of him. Ruth and Dave made two trips to the tip! 🙂 it's looking a lot tidier around the kennels now. :)) George had a visit from a lovely family who had travelled all the way from Cornwall to meet him. They brought their little dog with them and although a little wary of George, he was marvellous with her. Needless to say they all fell in love with George and he has gone home with them. :). Xxx We had visits from some old friends to use the sand run, so lovely to see Lisa and her beautiful Shandy. 🙂 Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. 🙂 Xxx

Paddy
I’m Homed
Paddy is settling in so well, he's happy to be alone, he's happy with a fuss. He's a dream on the lead. He's met lots of local dogs including 3 greyhounds. No toilet incidents whatsoever. He saw the TV come on and wasn't a fan but we'll slowly try again soon.

Miles (Hagar)
I’m Homed
Hagar paid his first visit to Elmdon Park today and although he is a quiet shy boy in the kennel he came to life in a very happy way while in the park and loved every minute of his time there. After initial curiosity he met several other breeds with no aggression whatsoever. He travelled well in the car although he did have to be lifted in. He was a pleasure to take out and I'm sure he's going to be a fantastic addition to his future home

Barney
I’m Homed
Barney, has done well as I understand it. When I left him he was a little unsettled, something I would expect. I picked him up this morning and no complaints or comments of him doing lots of barking or howling as he used to do. That means that he is making progress. I you like this great boy get in touch with the trust.

Thank you Shanishoo and jet lucy for your comments re Fat neck Finn and the loss of our girl Nina. When I told Finn he will be getting a sister or brother soon, he started a list of qualities he is looking for in a companion. ---- Girls must be shapely, any sign of excess weight means they may steal his food! They must not grab his neck when running free in a paddock, only his mother could do that. and when he goes on holiday to Cornwall the couch is HIS (forget about ladies first) and any of her squeaky toys are fair game. Males----He would require them to understand he is just looking for a buddy and not to be too over-friendly with any females he meets when out walking as girls in the past have knocked him back making him less confident of his looks. Finally, male or female have to be very loving to us and love cuddling up as he is still not overly keen on being fussed (so would save him having to be bothered) Hates being kissed on the head and nearly knocked me unconscious when he bought his head up suddenly when I tried. Obviously, I am hoping that all his requirements will go out of the window when he meets THE ONE. xx
