Can I just give Hammy's owners the quote that helps each time I have lost a beautiful Grey, It is ----" "When I die let it be as a pet so that I am remembered with love." All our retired hounds will certainly be that, and that gives me comfort.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Hammy went to the bridge on Friday. He had a number of issues, epilepsy, arthritis and dental problems. In the end, he was losing his back legs and panting a lot, signs that the pain was getting too much, so the kindest thing was to let him go in my arms. My son is now 8 and has never known life without Hsmmy until now. We are heartbroken.

I wrote this some time ago and thought I would share it with all Grey lovers------- A recipe for a Couch Potato Take one Greyhound Add a little patience Mix in lots of smiles and laughter Sprinkle liberally with love Place all ingredients on a soft "pillow" base And allow to settle Wondering how Fat neck Finn would feel about a brother? Had his sister the beautiful Nina for 5 years. Seems to like the girls he meets on his walks but a bit indifferent to fellas (although I love the big black lads)

Little Miss Flower was soo happy to see us this morning when we opened up. She is bouncy and full of beans - but she responded beautifully to Michael when she started barking & jumping at him after breakfast. A "down" command accompanied by showing her the flat palm of his hand and she soon settled and actually sat down on the run floor - clever girl! She just loves to please and I think will respond to training beautifully. She gets a big cuddle today. xx

Leo was very happy to see us when we opened up this morning. He got my gold star for a nice clean kennel, and for finishing all his breakfast! This gorgeous boy has some issues with separation anxiety, he does love human company & gives the best kisses and cuddles, but he must learn that it is safe and ok to spend a little time on his own now and again - we can work on this with him and hopefully get him into the forever home he is so deserving of. He gets my cuddle today. xx

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind words of sympathy and prayers for the loss of Lilah. It means so much to us. Our thoughts, too, are with those who have lost their beloved dogs.
