As my husband had the day off today, we all had a lovely, long lie in. Ritchie was very happy to laze away the morning. Early this afternoon we set off for a walk along the canals. Once again, he walked well, taking all the new sights in. He travels very well in the car and has no hesitation jumping in and out. Once home again he had some fun playing with his toys. He is so funny to watch. Ritchie has so much potential to be a wonderful pet and it would be lovely to send him off to his forever home after his time with us. Fingers crossed for him xx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was a cold and grey day today, fortunately the promised rain held off so our boys & girls could have 2 good walks. A busy old day saw 2 beautiful new arrivals, pretty little Cassy and big handsome Champ. At the moment they are both very nervous of their new surroundings, although that didn't stop Miss Cassy gobbling down both her lunch and dinner! We couldn't persuade Champ to eat sadly, and his poorly hock meant he couldn't join the afternoon walks, but hopefully he will soon start to relax as he gets used to his new environment. As Cassy was so nervous we weren't sure if she would join us on the walk, but she was such a good girl and seemed to enjoy exploring her new surroundings. She was definitely much happier in the company of the other Greys, they were setting her a good example. Let's hope that both she and Champ will start to settle over the next few days as they get used to their new lives at Daybreaks. Big boys Alex & Samson were VERY excited with the squirrel action on the afternoon walk!!! I am sure the squirrels do it on purpose though - they scamper to the end of the branch and then sit and look down at the dogs, teasing them!! Lovely Jack couldn't quite understand what all the fuss was about bless him. Little cutie Minnie only arrived yesterday, but has gone out on trial today to see how she gets on with her potential Greyhound sisters - fingers crossed. Well the weekend is upon us again, time still flies by, and we have a viewing booked for tomorrow so keep fingers crossed that we have another red sign by Monday. The online Easter Pet Show is in full swing, so head over to the Facebook page to submit your entries. As is usual for a Friday I shall be raising a glass of wine later to all our boys & girls, both in kennels and out on foster, with a wish that forever homes come their way soon. As ever, stay distanced, stay safe everyone - we are getting there. Angie xx

There is a new hamster in the house. Sigh. You would think I’d be happy about this. NO! This new boy Oreo is hogging my favourite human. I’m not getting as much attention as I did before even though my human has still fussed me when asked. She has still fed me but I want all the attention! Not fair. Russ Xx
