Daybreaks Diary!

We had a beautiful new arrival this morning, her name is Minnie and she is such a very sweet little girl. Xxx We were expecting another young lady but she is now hopefully arriving tomorrow along with a lad who we are told is white with one black patch over his eye! Sounds very handsome! 🙂 Xxx We had lots of volunteers today so the dogs were able to have some nice long walks. 🙂 Many thanks to Simon and his family who came along to tidy up the area at the far end of the sand run. At least it was a little warmer this morning! :)) Lucy brought in a super pilchard cake today to celebrate her pretty Ellie's 9th Birthday tomorrow. She shared it with the Trust dogs and my Skippy as it's his Birthday tomorrow too! He will be 10 🙂 We also want to wish Norman one of our long serving volunteers a very Happy Birthday for tomorrow!! A very popular day for Birthdays!! Lucy did give me some cake to take home for Fletcher and Lyra but sneaky Barney found it and ate it! :)) He didn't even try to cover his tracks, just left the paper shredded on the kitchen floor!:)))) Xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Xxx

So Ritchie's adventure today has consisted of him 'helping' the man fitting our new boiler. Now to his definition of help: (1) Blocking any door that the boiler man needs to open or close (2) Accompanying him every time he went upstairs. I'm sure he just wanted to make sure he wasn't lonely (3) Checking that he had the right supplies in his tool kit and van (4) Staring at him through the glass panel to make sure that he stays on task. (5) Demanding fuss any time he had a free hand and to be fair, even when he didn't!! Ritchie now has the offer of an apprenticeship with him or at least a job offer of carrying his tools around! He is such an affectionate boy xx

Very good news from the New Forest from Stanley and his human Tim. Stanley has just got is 8th gotcha, also had 8 borthdays and 8 Xmas' with us since he adopted us and sister Gemma on 10th April 2013. 12.5 years yound. 2922 days he has been with us 1/9th of our lives. At times a painful road but we have got this far. He is good with his sister Daisy who has been with us 2 years. That's all for now. All take care. LOL. Tim, Sue, Stanley, Daisy and Spanner xxx

Winter had well and truly returned. It was so very cold, so special thanks to our Wednesday walkers, Denise, Dave and Chris for braving the elements. We saw Beaut now Rosie off to her new home with very handsome brother Barney, very quickly followed by Woodys homing. Best of luck to both families, not that I think they need it!! We have two new arrivals tomorrow and another on Friday, watch this space for photos and updates. As always stay safe and well everyone. X

Sanka is keeping nice and cosy:) He has a fleecy coat on and the heaters in the kennels are on. However I'm sure he would rather be snuggled up with his new family by the radiator. :)) It won't be long before he can come home with you. :)) Xxx
