Ritchie
I’m Homed
Ritchie had a good first afternoon and night with us. He spent most of yesterday afternoon in the garden and spent the night in his crate in our room. He slept well and was raring to go this morning. We had a lovely 5 mile walk around Kingsbury Water Park this morning and saw lots of other breeds. He gets a bit vocal when walking behind them, but settles as soon as you have passed them. I think he maybe sees it as a race that he has to win?!? He has had a good snooze this afternoon and just enjoyed another two mile walk. He really loves getting out and about. He's currently waiting for his tea to be served and cannot wait. He loves his food and all the attention he can get. He prefers being with us and mastered our stairs without hesitation. Lovely boy xx

Alex loves going for a walk. He is strong on the lead but I think he could be ok with a harness. He definitely is easier on the way back to the kennels. He enjoyed being groomed but wasn't quite so keen on having his teeth cleaned. He is a friendly happy boy xxxxx

Samson is a very striking big boy. He walks very nicely on the lead, really enjoys attention I am sure he"ll make a smashing pet. Big cuddles for him tonight. Xxx

Totally agree shanishoo, Alison and Jill I believe you are called below...you are angels, God bless you! I pray caesar will have many happy years with wonderful people! We've had 2 older cats with those tumours who lived very happy lives for a good few years so I pray this for caesar xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Wow what a great day! Rosie, Jim, Cora and Colt were all officially adopted. Ritchie has gone out to foster with Elizabeth - he is such a clever boy who just needs more than kennel life! Congratulations to Nesta who won the fabulous dog hamper and Sarah who won the chocolate hamper! We have raised over £600 as a result of the two raffles. I spent time sorting our honesty box donations.... thanks to Jo, Dave and Denise for all their help today. We had fun!

Barney

Barney had lots of sausages for his birthday, although he had to share them with Hope, Snip and Rigsby, which he found hard to do - he kept trying to take theirs out of their mouths! Always just too late as they love sausages too :)) He’s doing really well being fostered - he’s a real character, very funny and really starting to play now. He’s getting better at “leave” and “stay” although needs a careful eye watching him if you turn your back and leave food on the work surface in the kitchen - Paul lost his toast this morning but Barney enjoyed it very much thank you! He’s improving each day when seeing or meeting dogs in the park but will still pull and get quite excited, but with firm handling and encouragement, he’s gradually getting there. He’s a lovely boy and we’d keep him if we could but having 3 of our own already, having a 4th would mean we couldn’t then do any more fostering which we like to do when we can. I highly recommend this lovely boy xx
