    I’m Homed

Hi! We are so glad we visited the kennels yesterday. After a few sleepless nights with Leo we needed some advice and Ruth and others came up trumps. Leo went to bed last night with Classic FM, some extra light on, and sporting his new fleecy housecoat. When Karen got up at 6am he was still in bed, not a murmur from him all night. After a quick trip to the garden he then slept on until 8am. He ate all his breakfast (no surprise there!) and we've been out for a walk. It's only one night, but we feel like it's progress. Leo also went to the vet yesterday and unfortunately it seems he may lose some of his tail. But he's affectionate, mischievous, happy, and eats like a horse! As I type this he's snoozing again by my feet. Thanks again for the help yesterday.

My youngest fell in love with Joy, and as much as she loves Molly (Claire), she still misses Joy. (In fact, she's making her a card as I type.) Joy is such a lovely, lovely girl - I hope someone will give her a fantastic home soon.

  • Pearl (Cara)

    I’m Homed

Hi all you great people at the Daybreaks thought I would just update you on the beautiful PEARL (now Cara). We have had her now for around 8 months and what a character she has developed. She still "grumbles" at the other 2 Greys but she is wagging her tale while she does it and they just ignore her and put it down to her adolecent "phase". However WE now have to go to bed at 11'30pm whether we want to or not, because Cara has decided that's her bed time and as soon as this time arrives she is up off her bed in the living room and stands barking at me till I get up to let her out for a wee and then she goes to her bed in the kitchen for the night. She stands barking at the other 2 if they don't want to go until they move as well.!!! oh dear here she comes, best go!!!!!!! LUV HER TO BITS

Kerry covered the kennels yesterday for me and I popped up before closing to see the inmates! Kerry told me she was worried about Joy as she was very down and wouldn't eat..... I went into her kennel - immediately she leapt to her feet and gave me lots of kisses and cuddles - her tail wagging...... I must admit I have been spoiling her and everyday she comes into the kitchen and gets lots of TLC during the day and of course she hadn't done this as the kitchen had been so busy. She is a clever girl - knows what she wants and gives a lot in return. I hope someone falls in love with her soon.

My beautiful black girl Izzy is a big grey and quite bouncy, and because of this she had been in kennels for a year when we homed her. People passed her by because she looked as "mad as a box of frogs" as the saying goes. We have had her just over a year and she is still bouncy with a real love of life and a great love of people. We are so glad we gave her a chance, and to prove she didn't put us off she has a brother and a younger sister now as well. All of them different characters and personalities, but blend together to balance us humans and show us how to take life as it comes and just luv one another. I am sure this girl would be the same. She has been waiting too long, please give her a chance someone xxx
