Just to make you aware, we have had unconfirmed reports that there is blue-green algae in the puddles and standing water in Elmdon Park. It can be highly poisonous to dogs if ingested. Symptoms can include Vomiting and Diarrhoea and in some cases can be fatal. If you suspect your dog has swallowed water containing blue-green algae contact your vet immediately for advice. Best to keep your dogs away from the lakes and puddles. Do not let them drink the water and wash their feet thoroughly after a walk. We are grateful to one of our volunteers for bringing this to our attention. Xxx

Happy Birthday to our special girl Belle who is 6 today. Never a dull moment with this beauty around. Special dinners tonight and then big snuggles by the log burner while watching TV. I'll try to find the all dog food commercials just for you xx

While at playgroup on Saturday Harriet (now Dixie) met and fell in love with (or is that the other way round?) a lovely couple who were visiting friends in the area. They’ve been to see her again before heading home and it seems it really is a match made in heaven. Just sorting the clerical bits and I’ll be heading off on a few days away to deliver her. Lucky pup!

Our lovely Pan has been reserved today! His Foster Mom and Dad brought him to the kennels to meet a family who were very keen to be introduced to him. They fell in love with him and are hoping to take him home very soon. :)) So happy for Pan, he is a great lad. Xxx We are so grateful to his Foster family for helping him find his forever home. Xxx
