Harriet is proving an excellent house guest so far. Despite declining yesterday evening’s menu choice we do seem to have hit on what she does like and she’s been making up for lost ground yesterday. She spent the evening between one of the dog beds in our lounge and coming over to me for fusses. She slept the whole night through from 11pm to gone 7am without a murmur or any accidents. I’ve never had a foster dog be so good on their first night! Today she’s been to playgroup with the rest of my gang where she met lots and lots of other hounds and had lots more cuddles and fusses. She’s now spark out!

Monty came back from Foster yesterday. Many thanks to Alan and Richard for picking him up for us. Monty has had a great Christmas! Xxx He was shared by two families. :)) Thank you all so much for giving him a break from the kennels. All he needs now is his forever home! Xxx

May came back from foster this morning and went off to her forever home this afternoon! She has a lovely Greyhound sister called Molly and a new name, Maeve. xxx Wishing her and her lovely new family lots of great times together. Thanks so much to DelphysMum who fostered May for the Christmas holiday, she had a fabulous time! Xxx

Dear Jeremy and Julie, I have been reading through the many comments about Casey....they brought back memories of when he first arrived at the kennels and how he found his forever home with you. Over the Rainbow Bridge
Casey left us on Tuesday 19th December and we have been heartbroken since. Who would have guessed that a ‘problem’ hound who came to stay for two nights over Easter, would have turned out to be my best pal and the centre of our lives for the best part of seven years! Casey was a lovely soul who knew what he wanted and it was our privilege to give him a devoted, loving home. They say that when we die, the first thing we see is our dead pets running to greet us! I suspect that when my time comes, I’ll have to wait for Casey to finish his kip and then wonder over. That’s the way he did things and one of the reasons why we loved him so much. See you on the other side Pal!
