Oh my goodness - the kennels are almost empty again!!! So lovely to see all the red & green signs - I am really missing being "hands on" at the kennels & being around all the beautiful doggies. Fingers crossed it wont be for too much longer. In the meantime, stay safe one and all. xxx

Despite only having a few dogs at the kennels it was a busy day. 🙂 Dave, now called Spirit happily went off to his new home this morning. Xxx Jess had a family of three for pampers. Xxx The sand run was very busy. :)) Lyra didn't get to have a quick race around until 4.50pm...it's a good job she has lots of white spots, it was getting dark very quickly! :)) Thanks so much to Patric, Lynne, Simon and Jess for all their help today. Xxx

Great to see Spirit go home today. :)) He jumped into the car with no problem, eager to start a new chapter in his life. Xxx His new owners are fab...so excited to be welcoming a new member into their family 🙂 Xxx I'm sure they were pleased to get home . It was very chilly having to be outside to fill out his paperwork but the safest way to do things due to the current circumstances. Spirit was fine he was sitting in his cosy under bed heated kennel waiting for us. :)) Lots of happiness to you all. Xxx

Phantom hadn't been cat tested so we decided to try him today. He showed very little interest from outside the cat room so we took him in. Patric had Socks securely on his lap and Tykes was hidden away. Still no lunging or particular interest. The same went for when Socks was put on the ground. He needs to be tested again but the signs are promising. He's a lovely boy who is just waiting for his well deserved forever home. Good luck sweetheart. x

I've just been out to see Sammy and drop off some more treats and his metacam (pain relief following his operation yesterday). I think he though he was coming home with me and sadly started barking as I left.... it was heartbreaking but he has just got to get used to a new environment.... I am only across the road so I'm on hand to help if need be!

I think Phantom will be the next one to accompany me home if Sammy stays in his home. I really love him and after spending time with him yesterday during a viewing, I'd love to give him some extra TLC!

I had the pleasure of introducing Spirit (Dave) to his new family yesterday. They were so excited and had already prepared nearly everything for his arrival. Me thinks he will be a very happy and very spoilt boy. Wishing you and your family many happy times ahead. Jo x

I met Dave's new family yesterday and they are so lovely! I carried out the home visit via video call last night and I can safely say he is one very lucky boy. The photo sent later to show what they have bought him leaves me in doubt as to whether there is anything left in Pets at Home!!!!! :-)))))) Spoilt will be his middle name - lucky boy! x

Sabby (I now call him Sammy) is such a wonderful boy and I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed this morning as he has a viewing with a neighbour of mine! I have been taking him home since Wednesday and he is absolutely amazing - seriously, if I did have room for an extra set of legs, I wouldn't hesitate. He is outrageously different to the dog we had at the kennels - stressed, barking, unsettled. His trainer told us he used to be paired with a girl and as we have to keep them all separately due to COVID restrictions and the fact that we have no girls in at the moment was impossible! He sleeps downstairs all night on his own (he has the freedom to come upstairs if he wanted where Tiggy and Momma sleep) but he stays downstairs on his big round fluffy bed. He has totally mastered 'wee wee outside'! Yesterday I took him for his neutering operation at Fivelands - (he was an excellent traveller) where they all fell in love with him! He has recovered very well and I am hoping very soon he will be in a home of his own so I can start working on the next one!!!!!! I have just added a couple of photos to show how settled he is 🙂
