I met this lovely boy on Saturday. He reminds me of a spaniel - when he wags his tail, his whole back end wags! He is so friendly and happy. I hope he finds his forever sofa soon xx

Poor jo, hope you're ok. And poor Bill, I swear there is something going round as jet was so ill with a tummy bug end of October, 5 other dogs we know round here also had the same and all required treatment and while I waited the 10 mins to pay my bill, 4 owners took diahorrea paste home! Xxx

The day didn't start too well with a phone call off poor Jo who, whilst on her way to the kennels, bumped her car. I therefore flung off the knee brace and headed off to the kennels! Jo came in with Dave a bit later and we got the 'kids' fed, cleaned and then muzzled them up to have a play altogether. They loved the snow especially Alex and I have uploaded a video to Facebook! I have just dropped Lee off to his foster home and a trip to the vets is on the books for poor Bill. He has been at home with me since last Thursday and he still has a very upset tum. I hope some antibiotics may sort him out!

We had the kind offer of a foster home and I snapped it for the gorgeous Lee. He sadly seems so upset in kennels and barks but if out, he stands by your side and is so good. I am hoping he is going to be a good boy and enjoy his foster home.

What happened.!!! We opened up the kennels and there was the odd snowflake, within what seemed like a few minutes there was a good covering everywhere. It got to the point where our footprints were being covered in minutes. Dave got the snow shovel out and cleared a path around the kennels. By the time he had finished it was covered again! Dave has an ongoing battle with nature, normally it's with the leaves! It got so bad I moved my car from the car park onto the driveway as that was fairly sheltered. We did become just a little concerned that we may be snowed in. I would have been quite happy sharing a kennel with one of our inmates with their under bed heating!! Thankfully it did ease off, so after feeding, cleaning and tucking the kids up this afternoon we made a slightly earlier exit than normal. Unusually, I am in tomorrow. The weather report says cold and sunny, I can cope with that, I do like the snow, I like it when I am at home in the warm and not at work wondering if I will manage to get home and see my dogs. As always stay safe and well. Xx

It was a bit weird just to see 2 black greyhound girls on my bed as the last time I had 2 black greyhound girls cuddling each other on my bed when we had settling snow , they were different dogs , but I love you so much Jess and Celia

I am saddened to read this, when Eoin was looking for a home we had a viewing with him, we really wanted him but our existing Grey was a bit bossy with him and we didn't think that would be fair on Eoin. I felt so bad that we couldn't offer him a home but shortly after our visit he found his forever home, rest easy Eoin, you were a beautiful special boy, lots of love to your family...sleep tight sweetheart xxxxx

It is with immense sadness we heard wonderful Eoin has gone to Rainbow Bridge. His family are devastated. He had a fabulous, happy life with them and shared his home with Greyhound buddies Shaun, Peg and brothers Roy and Saddle. Thinking of them all and sending all our love. Xxx I’m sure Eoin has been reunited with Shaun and they are running together or in Shaun’s case strolling! Xxx God bless his special new Angel Eoin. Xxx

It was a very icy morning, Skip and I were very happy to arrive at the kennels safe and sound! 🙂 Gorgeous little Star went home! I will miss her happy waggy tail and sweet little face. I'm sure she is going to be very happy. :)) Our new boy Alex arrived full of beans! A very happy soul :)) He really loved his walk this afternoon with Lee, Sam and Peaky. We did have a heavy snow shower at the time but none of them seemed to mind. Xxx Left everyone with a Kong, heaters on and a night light on for Peaky. :)) Thanks so much to Jess, Dave, Patric and his Mum for all their help today and Rosie for coming in this afternoon and doing lots of paperwork for us :)) Xxx Xxx

I was so grateful to Ruth and Andy for taking Bill home on Thursday evening. I was so worried about him. Fingers crossed his upset tum will soon be ok. In the meantime I know he is in the best possible place. Hope he will cheer Ruth up too while she is waiting for her leg to get better. :)) Xxx

Alex arrived at the kennels today. He is a very handsome lad with beautiful eyes. Jess bathed him. He is so funny when he shakes, he does his front half and then his bottom catches up a few seconds later! Xxx

Gorgeous Bill is staying with us at the moment. Kate called me Thursday late afternoon to say she was worried about him. He had been drinking lots, didn't want to eat and kept being sick so Andy kindly took me up to the kennels (as I can't drive at the moment) and we collected him. The following morning he was much brighter and ate some chicken and a small amount of Burns. I am going to keep him here until he goes to his new home next weekend. He has had a few accidents but he is learning a whole new routine of living in a house and hopefully by then his tummy will have settled - if not, a trip to the vets will be on the cards!
