Five new arrivals, three dogs homed, two dogs fostered, a partridge in a pear tree, conveyor belt and a cuddly toy, not to mention sand run, collecting of food and Ruth's nail cutting. Yes, I have seriously lost the plot, although I really would have needed to have it to start with! It was sheer madness today but truly amazing, I am absolutely zorstid! Thanks to everyone for their help and for the constant stream of coffee I was fed! Thanks also to Rosie who came in and made up homing packs for the new arrivals in readiness for them to go off to their forever homes, although one had already gone home! Before I go into the realms of waffling (even more) I will go now and have wine!! X

I might have drank the milk for mum’s coffee! She was about to pour the coffee in but I came and drank the milk for her first... can’t go to waste! I really wanted the bird seed that the hoomans brought earlier but I wasn’t allowed instead it’s sitting there in a plastic thing in the garden??! We went to the garden centre earlier to look for a few things for the caravan! It was greyt and I was a really goooood boy! 🙂 Lubs Russ Xx

I met the very handsome Prince today. :)) He is lovely. However, just before I went home he gave me a real scare...I was cleaning the toilet (as you do!) when he started screaming! I ran to his kennel to find he had somewhow got his leg stuck through the bars of his kennel and twisted it so his dew claw was one side of a bar and his foot the other! :(( Thankfully I was able to push it back through and he was fine. We were both very stressed and had a cuddle until we calmed down! :)) Xxx

We had fun and games with the fire alarm this afternoon! It went off three times which saw us scurrying around the kennels to make sure all was ok. The alarm is obviously quite loud but most of the dogs didn't seem too concerned with it. Skip looked more annoyed at having his sleep disturbed! I am so grateful to all at ADT who helped us, their response to the alarm going off was brilliant calling us with a few seconds and then arranging for an engineer to come out and check the system. The engineer was great too and it was nice to hear his friend has three Greyhounds! He discovered the problem was a faulty sensor. Thank you so much to everyone who helped raise the funds for us to have the fire alarm installed, giving extra safety to our residents. Xxx It was a great day for Lucy, her visitors didn't stand a chance when she kept looking at them with those big beautiful eyes of hers! She is going home tomorrow...really hope this will be third time lucky for her! Xx Chloe is also going home tomorrow, Charlie has a second viewing and we have FIVE new arrivals in the morning! Xx Thank you so much to everyone for their help today...as usual there was torrential rain during the afternoon walk!! Xxx

We miss Robbie so very much and know how special he was to you. There are so many memories of him and you could not have been a better Mummy and Daddy to him. When the time is right for you he'll send you a companion to help heal your pain. Robbie will never be forgotten but when it's right, the new addition to the family will be very lucky to have you. Thinking of you both. See you soon. x
