So it's just Prince who isn't reserved, fostered or rehomed. I can't understand it as he's so lovely and walked really well down the lane yesterday. Hopefully it'll be his turn very soon. He gets my cuddle today. x

Charlie's new family here! He is absolutely gorgeous, lovely, charming and very happy - he has settled in very well and all 3 dogs get on so well together. We can't tell you how much we all love having him around. He is still a bit nervous outside but it is a whole new world to him. He certainly can be called Charlie of the chatty teeth!

Goodness 2020 has been a real trial hasn't it - and it's not getting any better! As Ruth quite rightly says, the priority must be everyone's health & safety so although a lockdown is not what anyone wants I think it's what we need to try to get this awful virus under control. Thankyou to everyone who has opened their homes to our boys & girls already - hopefully the remaining boys will have a lovey blue fostered sign before lockdown number 2 starts and the kennels go quiet again. Please stay safe everyone, look out for each other and take care. xx

Hi Nice Human Lady Kate Victoria ,are you the next in line after the Prince William ? Sorry just asking for a friend , I really don't know what to make of all this Dad got really sad at the end of last week and spent over 30 hours in bed ,he did get up to feed us but then went back to bed and kept waking up with a wet pillow ,I know he dribbles a lot but he was dribbling from his eyes as well Im not sure why because Carrie has only gone to the Moon and that can't be that far away because we can see it, I've been looking at the Bus timetables but the farthest I can find is the 469 to Hereford or Worcester still maybe there's a train to to moon and we will be able to see her again oneday . anyway he said he can't have another dog for a long time but he wanted something to remember Eve and Carrie with and distract himself so hes ordered this new sort of dog , he said we will be able to look at him but not meet him properly yet for a couple of years because he is too small and we might think he's a pie , he's shown us some pictures and videos and its a strange looking dog and will live for about 75-100 years and he dosen't look very fast , Not like me anyway , Im the fastest ever and this new dog carries his bed around with him on his back , well that's going to slow you down mate init ? how weird , You mean he's not going to sleep in Dads Bed ? well that's a relief , he's coming to live with us next week and apparently he only likes to go out when its warm outside and loves it when the heating is on , so a bit like Carrie really , Jess was really good with Dad though , she just cuddled him all the time , Dads really clever though , he can tell us apart with his eyes closed. Loads of Love Celia xx Oh and the new dog eats lettuce and dandelions and sleeps for weeks in the fridge in the winter , I'd rather sleep by the fire and you still ask why I have that bewildered look on my face , this place is strange but Dads OK and so are we

We collected Lucy on 25 October for her third (and final!) forever home to stay with us. Since then she has been GOLDEN she is so loving and adorably follows us around the home. She loves her morning and afternoon walks and even has a friend (our friend's Staffie called Mitchell) who she gets on great with. Lucy is here to stay but we will be back for visits to the sandrun! CONGRATULATIONS to our winners of the Daybreaks 14th Birthday Fundraising Draw which took place on Saturday 31st October. We raised a whopping £1168 so thank you to everyone who entered and supported our fundraising. The winners were: 1st Prize - £500.00 cash kindly donated by Fivelands Veterinary Centre won by C Cosgrave (ticket number 3144) Mrs Cosgrave has kindly donated £100 of her winnings back to Daybreaks and I am overwhelmed by her generosity. 2nd Prize - Drinks Hamper won by N Prattley (ticket number 1191) 3rd Prize - Luxury Hamper (for 2 & 4 legged) won by Alison Hinett (ticket number 3677) 4th Prize - Pair of engraved wine glasses kindly donated by Angie Scholey won by Beverly Ashby (ticket number 2321) Thanks also go to Roger Healey for printing our draw tickets x

Further to the Prime Minister’s announcement we are heading for lockdown again on Thursday so today I am having a meeting to discuss how things will work regarding food collections etc. I am looking for foster homes for our current inmates and our planned new arrivals this week. Please CALL me at the kennels if you think you can help. Our phone lines are open from 9am til 4pm (and outside of these hours for emergencies). All that is important to us is that everyone stays safe x
