BREAKING NEWS " JESS LOVES BIEBER" .. I was working nights last night as someone at work was sick and I've just woken with a bad neck, a headache , Jess in my face and teethmarks on my head , so I started singing Justin Bieber songs to Jess and she loved it which was evident by the fact she went into the roach position and I blew raspberries on her belly so its totally official Jess Likes Justin Bieber , which is good , because I do too.. The world in which my girls are growing up in is totally screwed up and mad , so I might as well fit in as if I didn't already I love you Jess you are the most affectionate girl in the world and the most clingy and affectionate dog I've ever had in my life and now I know you like Justin my world is complete xx

It started as a busy day. I took Lindy to be speyed this morning, nail cutting, coat sales, sand run user's and all before 11.00 am! Nav came in to help out, he and Jamie homed Lucy a few weeks ago, she is doing very well. To start with there was not an awful lot to do as there were only two kennels to clean. Nav took some fab photos of Herc and Laddie (the profile picture of Laddie is courtesy of Nav, thanks very much). If either of them are still here after the weekend he is going to send some of the photos of them to us. The very lovely Laddie arrived a lot earlier than expected, thanks to Chris and Nav for bathing and health checking on arrival. He and Herc enjoyed a nice walk before dinner. We had some very generous donations given over the phone and some lovely goodies for the hounds and h oomans too. There are viewings booked for tomorrow and Sunday, fingers crossed that the two hounds in kennels will find their forever homes in time for Christmas. As always, stay and well. X

It was so good to have dogs back in the kennels today. Declan and I both agreed it was great to be greeted by happy barks and waggy tails! :)) Socks our lovely black and white cat is doing well but not so keen on taking antibiotics! Tried to tell her they will make her feel better but I don't think she thought so! Richard and I dropped a big of food off to a family who are unfortunately having to self isolate due to a family member having Covid19. They were down to their last cup of Burns....Do hope they will all be well soon. Xx Many thanks to Alan and Declan for going on a trip to the warehouse for us this afternoon. :)) We still have a few calendars and Christmas cards left at the kennels, why not treat yourself to a Calendar and see a beautiful Greyhound or two for every month of next year. Razzle is Mr December for this year, he looks very handsome!! Xxx It was good to have Ruth back at the kennels today. 🙂 xx So very pleased she is starting to feel better. Xxx

Hercules is such a very lovely lad. His litter sister Lottie found her forever home today. Xxx Hercules retired due to having a broken hock. It has healed very well and he will just need his new family to build up his strengh on that leg. He is a very cuddly boy just waiting for someone to give him lots of love. :)) He was cat tested this morning....unfortunately he isn't cat friendly. Xxx

Wow what a busy day! I rehomed Lottie whilst Kate did the paperwork for Stanley (aka Rocky). It was great to see him again as I had him at home for a while before he was fostered. I brought Lindy to the kennels with me - a second night of being absolutely golden at my house but she is going in first thing to be neutered tomorrow morning and it was her lucky day - she has been reserved and off to her new home on Saturday. I am so pleased for her. I cat tested Hercules but he was very excited - what greyhound wouldn't after having been trained to run and chase! He is absolutely adorable though - leggy, black and very handsome - he really is gorgeous! The miserable weather today has not knocked my spirits - it is so great to be back after being poorly again for the last few weeks. I am so lucky to love my job so much!

Eoghan (Blue)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Jess, I do hope you and Tilly are keeping well. It would be wonderful for them to all get together in the sand run. I would love to see Fuzzbear & Lady again. I will ask Kate and Jo if they can help me re my other 2. I have thought about them so many times and feel I need to know one way or the other what happened to them. I am sure Mel would want me to find out. It is hard at the moment trying to provide a happy house when all I really want to do is cry.....for Mel, that he didnt get to see Eoghan again, for me because I just hate life without him, for Fergal & Teddy who adored him and now for Eoghan who is naturally confused, upset and missing his home. He is having short periods of crying and wouldnt walk this morning so we only managed about 200 yards!! I didnt push it and will try again tomorrow. It is understandably upsetting for him especially at a much older age. Although I am happy to have my lad home it is tainted by my great upset for Alan. I know it isnt my fault but I hate being the reason for someone else's pain. I know if it wasn't me it would be someone else but that doesn't help much. It doesnt matter how nice the home is, how much food or treats & love one gives, these boys and girls dont analyse their feelings. They simply feel the pain of loss. It is just such a sad situation. If I had known in April 2016 that my family would need me I might not have sold my Mother's house. I could have had all of my babes plus the whole of Daybreaks there but such is life. As my Mum always said one has to live with the consequences of one's actions and choices so choose wisely and act cautiously. Anyway, hopefully the coming days will see him settle more. Just the dental next Friday to get through. Keeping everything crossed that he doesnt find it too stressful. Take care and Merry Christmas. Xx
