I agree with Shanesmum...Gold is a super lad! John said if we didn't already have three gorgeous Greyhounds he would let me bring him home! :)) Gold loves a cuddle but he doesn't like Dentastix! :)))) Xxx

Oo I am smitten!! Although I am usually a "black Greyhound" person, this gorgeous, unusually marked boy is a stunner. So quiet and clean in his kennel, well mannered out and about, he had great fun playing with a ball in the sand run this morning, and enjoyed a walk this afternoon. He will make an amazing companion. Big cuddles for him tonight. Xx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was beautiful Belle's turn for a trip to the Vet this morning for her neutering operation. Thanks to Rosie for collecting her this evening and taking her home over night for some TLC. Belle is now raring to go off to her new home over the next couple of days. I met our new arrivals Gold, Bessie & Dora - all of them are so lovely. Gold is a real stunner, such a quiet and gentle soul. Bessie is a very pretty and friendly girl, and Dora is such a funny little poppet. She is so excited to get out of her kennel, hops and skips a few steps - then stops!! It's almost as if she is shocked to find herself outside bless her. It was lovely to see Jo off to his new home this afternoon, he was very keen to get out of the gate and get started with his new life!! Wishing him and his new family happy times ahead. Our residents enjoyed sand run playtime this morning and walks this afternoon, and our "walking wounded" had a nice potter around the sand run. Can I take this opportunity to remind everyone that the appointment system at the kennels is still in operation so please call ahead if you are intending to visit for any reason. This is important to make sure we can monitor the amount of people on site to ensure we can operate social distancing and try to keep everyone as safe as we can - especially important now with local restrictions on the horizon. I will raise a glass to our beautiful boys & girls as usual, and wish them forever homes very soon. Please take care and stay safe everyone, and thank you for your continuing support. Angie xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Gorgeous Boss went home today...he is such a great lad. Wishing him a wonderful new life. :)) Two new arrivals this afternoon, Dippy Dora and Bessie, both beautiful, happy girls. 🙂 Both were quite interested in Bob's chickens when they went out into his garden to have their photos taken. :). Many thanks to Jess for her help. She only came in to take her lovely dog Tilly in the sand run! 🙂 Jo, Jack and Raven are all healing well but still just have gentle walks around the sand run. Hopefully they will all be going off to their new homes very soon. Old friend Leo came in to have his nails clipped, he is 14 now and although a little wobbly is doing ok :)) Rosie came in to help us with some paperwork ...and ended up doing lots of other things too, Thank you! :)) As ever thanks to all our wonderful helpers. Xx Sending lots of love and get well wishes to Ruth tonight. She isn't feeling too well at the moment. Xxx

Fabulous Boss went home today...I think he and his Dad are going to be great friends! We carried out his homing sitting in his kennel. He sat in between us with his paws over the front of the bed and seemed to be listening intently to what we were saying about him. :)) Think he liked the part where his Dad said he had bought him some sausage treats! Wishing Boss a very happy new life. Xxx

We received a call from Janey's family today to say their beautiful girl has gone to Rainbow Bridge. They are heartbroken; she was very much loved and adored by them all. She has been a part of their lives for the last ten years and they have many happy memories to cherish. Thinking of them all and sending lots of love. God Bless Janey. Xxx
