Diva

Due to a family illness Diva has sadly been returned to the kennels today. Her family are distraught to have to let her go. They say she is a wonderful girl. She is good with children. She is fine with other Greyhounds and larger other breeds. She walks very well on the lead and loves her food. She can be left on her own. If you feel you could offer Diva her perfect home please call us on 0121 782 7702. Xxx

Another birthday for our Casey. He has really enjoyed the extra company over the past 6 months while we’ve been at home although must be one of the most spoiled hounds around. After opening his presents first thing this morning, Sir has had a relaxing day while I’ve been slaving away preparing his birthday feast! In addition to his usual roasted half chicken, todays meal included lamb kidney, meatballs and cheese. All despatched rapidly. Happy birthday Pal.

Daybreaks Diary!

Not much going on in Daybreaks World - a few sand run customers but otherwise very quiet. Newcomer Boss is a stunner! He is so very friendly, and has a lovely "roman" nose. Hard to believe he is Yardy's brother as they are nothing alike - I think Yardy inherited all the exuberant genes lol!!! There were walks, health checks and cuddles for our residents during the day - and I was off round the kennels with my cleaning cloth again!! A busy weekend ahead as we have another new arrival tomorrow, together with appointments booked for viewings, so keep your fingers crossed that we will soon be empty again!! The lots for the Daybreaks Autumn Auction have been added to the Facebook event, and bids are coming in already. I also have a few more kindly donated items to add over the weekend so keep checking back - there are some lovely things up for grabs. Well, it's fast approaching wine time now so I must be off!! Whatever you are doing this weekend, enjoy and stay safe - and hope for a red sign or two by Monday. Cheers one and all. Angie xx

We had the pleasure of meeting Little Dot a couple of weeks ago when she first arrived. She is such a beautiful, tiny little girl and how anyone could consider putting her to sleep just fills me with horror. So happy to see she now has a lovely home and a new brother. Wishing her a lovely new life. Xx

Oo, i wouldn't mind one of those for jet but hes often sick on bones (i only buy the ones purposely for dogs but they still break up) as seems to break bits off then throws it up, are these bones harder? Xxx

Oh thank goodness dot you've been saved and clearly now going to enjoy a wonderful life that you deserve! Grrr people make me so mad, i can't bare the thought of any of my babies been pts, it makes me cry thinking about it. I must say i commend the vets who said no to pts and convinced the owner to sign over, well done them! Xxx

Little Dot is absolutely gorgeous. So very difficult to understand why her previous owner wanted her PTS unnecessarily. She is so loving and has a lovely brother in the very handsome Lenny the whippet. Good luck beautiful girl, not that you will need it. Xxx

Little Dot

So I guess most of you will ask who is Little Dot?! Dot (new name as she is only 19kg) arrived a couple of weeks ago. She had been attacked by the other family dog and we were told that the owner wanted to PTS. However the vets got her to agree to sign her over and we were asked if we could take her. I took her home for a few days before she was viewed as her wound had only recently been stitched and was a bit weepy and she was quite nervous. She was viewed by a wonderful couple and she responded well to them and therefore went out on trial. She has been doing so well and today Little Dot was signed for on the dotted line! I am so happy x
