Well....what an amazing day it was today. We had one viewing booked but then received 2 further calls to come and view and appointments were duly given. Ebony was the first to be viewed, and first to vacate her kennel and go home. Next was the turn of Pepe, it was a close run thing between him and George, but Evie decided he was the one for her, so off he went too. Not to worry, it was soon gorgeous George's turn, he too has been reserved. At this rate all of the dog's that arrived last week could all be in their homes this week. Don't panic, we will have more new arrivals coming in this week, it would be great if they too found homes so quickly. Lorna had bookings for papers. Thanks to everyone who came in for food, to use the sand run and drop off donations. If you do need to come in please call as we are operating an appointment system. It was lovely to have some of our fantastic volunteers back, its starting to feel as we are getting some normality back. Here's hoping for another good week. X

Well the new arrivals didn’t hang around getting themselves new homes! All either reserved or rehomed already in only a few days since the kennels re opened. Long may it continue xxx

It's been such a lovely first day back volunteering at the kennels since lockdown - I'd only been able to get in once to help. The day started with 2 of the 5 dogs reserved leaving 3 to re-home. I'll leave it to Jo to do a write up of the day. Message for Sirenmelody - we have some of your lovely carrot cake and chocolate/caramel cakes. Are they both but free? I don't suppose the carrot cake is dairy free? Can't wait to have a much needed relax this evening with cake and prosecco. x

Yesterday was a really fabulous day.... our appointment system is working well and I just love being back at Daybreaks. There were plenty of visitors for nails teeth and corn removals. James came in again for tail dressing and also had a visit from Susy who was homed many years ago for a general check over and at 11 years old she looked fantastic. She goes off the lead all the time and has lived with house rabbits and is currently living with a kitten! I spent some time in the kennel with nervous Belle who fell asleep as I stroked her. I was over the moon when she was reserved and her new family have already downloaded the tracker app and getting familiar with it prior to her homing on Tuesday as she is permanently wearing her tracker being so nervous. We have more new arrivals next week.... and I’ve got Roy and Saddle booked to visit for a nail clipping so I can’t wait to see them! Mr Blue who had his dental Tuesday had a ‘day off’ and stayed at home with Tiggy and Momma - he is being a perfect house guest x If you are on Facebook I’ve uploaded a video of the Daybreaks Honesty Box on our Daybreaks Trust Chat page... log on and have a look x

Ebony is a sweetie. She doesn’t seem as much of a diva as all of ours as she was lying on the floor of the run today after having her tea. Ours wouldn’t dream of doing that without a rug or fleece to lie on!
