Not long after your comments beautiful Penny was reserved! She is going to live with a gorgeous Husky cross called Bear. They had a great time in the sand run together. So happy for her!! Xxx

Yes Shanishoo, we need to focus our attention on getting this little girl her forever home. Not that the other residents aren't equally deserving, just that Penny has already been in a home and is a long stayer. Now Ed is going home she's going to be sad without him. To anyone considering homing one of these lovely hounds, please don't be put off by her being slightly older than some of the others. She's still very young, playful and sweet. We're at the kennels at weekend so it would be lovely if she were to be reserved then (if not before). Don't worry sweetheart, your family will find you soon. x

Brilliant to see Ed reserved today! He seemed a little happier as he gave a welcoming bark when we opened up this morning. His face is still swollen but the lump looks smaller. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Dashing Dasher went to the vets this morning for his neutering operation. Ruth had popped into the kennels first thing, so she and Andy's Dad very kindly dropped Dasher off at the vets and I collected him this evening. He had to have a bigger operation than normal for the boys as he had only one testicle showing. So the poor lad had to be opened up to look for the other one! All good it was found and removed. 🙂 He was quite happy when I collected him. We met Katie with Monty, her lovely Greyhound. He also met a little Shitzu called Maisie. 🙂 Xxx Both Ed and Blue were reserved today! :)). The family who visited Saturday and Sunday finally settled on Ed and offered him a forever home with them. :)) Xxx Thanks so much to all who came to help today. It turned out to be a rather cold and wet day...sorry Jo your washing got a little wet out on the line! Xxx

I have literally just shouted for joy at reservations for both you AND Ed. I am over the moon for you. Very lucky family. I will miss you licking my hand for attention and chasing you around your kennel trying to brush the few teeth you have left! x

The head injury hasn't had an adverse effect on Dice. He's still keen to go for a walk and is interested in everything around him, probably on the lookout for more pesky squirrels!!!!! Xxxxx
