Florence (Westy)
I’m Homed
So just a warning to anyone who might visit Wales, there’s bears! There is! I will not walk down the lane by my big dog kennel because of the bears, I can smell them, I can, TC tries to make me walk on but no way, there’s bears down there! So because I am not walking very far (the bears you know) yesterday afternoon mom and TC took out to one of my favourite walks along the costal path. Mom was on her whizzy wheely machine and it is so much fun. She goes slow and I go slow, she stops I stop, she goes fast I go fast! She says sorry to TC for making him go fast too! As we were walking past the field there was a huge white dog in it, really really huge. Mom calls it over and it comes and she fusses it promising carrots next time, why would it want carrots? I can’t stand them, I can’t, they are yucky! When we carry on the huge dog walks next to mom on the other side of the fence until we pass the end of the field. On the way back it comes for more fuss and again mom promises carrots, I tried to tell it they are horrid but we’ll see! Lubs to all Florence xxx

Russ
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Russ has certainly made himself at home since we have had him. He nudges you to move out the way when he wants to get on the sofa or wants some of the food you are eating. He still loves the sink bowl and moves it at least 3 times a day. He takes himself to bed at night and this morning went downstairs and gave a little bark to go out in the garden then went back to bed. He don’t let you forget breakfast and dinner. Russ is a fabulous addition to the family.

Dasher
I’m Homed
Dasher had another Brueton park walk last Sunday, and again he was a perfect walking companion. No fuss, just happy to be out and about. He was well behaved in the cafe and is the right height to gazed out the window and calmly watch the wildlife in the garden.

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Firstly I must thank Angie for covering the kennels first thing this morning. I have sadly been without hot water at home for over a week! New parts fitted to the boiler, cancelled visits and today no better news....more parts and an other engineer visit tomorrow! Also many thanks to one of our regular sand run users who said I could pop around to her house and make use of her facilities :)) Fed up with filling kettles and boiling water in saucepan :(( So thank you so much Angie. Hopefully tomorrow we will be sorted, not holding my breath though. Anyhow, back to kennel business. We had lovely volunteers from Network Rail come to help out. They all fell in love with our residents, but who couldn't? They were really surprised at just how low maintenance they are and how little exercise they need. As they say '40 mile an hour couch potatoes'. We had lots of extra help with our college placement students and extra kennel volunteers arriving this afternoon. We had so much help that all the inmates had lots of love and extra cuddles. Stan the man was a huge hit with everyone, after his visit to the Park yesterday and the glowing report from Stormin, he found himself reserved, well done handsome lad. X If you are thinking about adopting a dog please give us a call and come and pay us a visit and have a look at the beautiful dogs waiting for their forever sofa. Well, the weather forecast for the next couple of days is grim to say the least. Keep yourselves and your hounds warm and cosy. Hoping for hot water tomorrow!!!

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Daisy had her neutering operation today. She also had her paw checked. She was not happy about going into the vets and when I went to collect her she didn't want to come out of the vets! I bumped into Myra, Alan and their lovely lad Ash...thanks so much to Myra, she helped me to persuade Daisy to get back in the car. When we arrived back at the kennels she very happily trotted back in! Xxx She will soon be going off to her new home. :)) xx Richard, Alan and Declan (Chuckle Brothers plus one) repaired the leaking roof this morning! Fingers crossed it should be fine until the weather improves (if ever!!) so we can see if everything dries out. Then they hope to be able to do further repairs. We are so grateful to them. Xxx Norman took New boy Stan for a walk in the park this morning. He was a very good lad. :)) We have discovered why Norman likes going to the park so much...he said the ladies quite often stop and speak to him and today a lady bought him a coffee in the cafe! :))) xx The Pet Blood Bank team came in today. Unfortunately due to neutering ops, vaccinations etc we had only three dogs able to donate, Blue, Lou and Penny. They all enjoyed their plate of Chappie afterwards. 🙂 We had very few pet dogs too...if you are interested in your dog becoming a blood donor please contact the Pet Blood Bank on 01509 232 222, they will be happy to pass on all the information you need to know. One donation of blood can help save the lives of four other dogs. Xx Thanks so much for everyone's help today. Xxx
