Well it would seem that my calculations are wrong. Good boy Flloyd has made his 10th donation to the Pet Blood Bank. He got a lovely stainless steel water bottle and a badge confirming his donation! So very proud of him. He also received some very extra special treatment from Laura one if the nurses who managed to pop some of the remaining blackheads on his belly. He normally gets on the sofa and stands next to me for he to get them!!L xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Star's family called today to tell us their wonderful lad has gone to Rainbow Bridge. He passed away suddenly and they are completely heartbroken. Xxx Star has always been a firm favorite with everyone at Daybreaks and has been a regular visitor since he found his perfect forever home. When he was in the kennels he used to share Sara's lunch...and I know she is taking care of him in his new home. He was such a very happy boy and I shall miss seeing him so much. Thinking of his family and sending lots of love to them, God Bless your lovely Star. Kate Xxx

Stan the Man was a real Wham in Brueton Park today. This chunky strong lad behaved without any aggression towards the other breeds we met. In fact we were invited to share a coffee in the cafe with a lady and her 2 lovely Labs. Stan enjoyed receiving treats and attention from lots of people including small children while in the cafe. He loves the car and travelled well to the park. A grand lad who would enjoy living in a home with an active lifestyle.

Please someone give this gorgeous boy his forever home. He's delightful. He was going out on his walk on Saturday as I arrived. I was talking to someone when I felt this little nose on my hand - he knows me now and wanted me to fuss him. He gives lovely licks and kisses. x

I walked Queenie at the weekend. What a character she has! As we started the walk we saw Kate by Bob's house. She wouldn't carry on the walk until she got cuddles from her. She'd given a little skip over to her. As we turned down the lane there was a parked car with a man sat in it. Again she gave a couple of bounces towards him. He waved at her! She walked very well. She and her kennel mate Beano (or Beanie as we often call her) are so funny together. I hope it won't be long before they both find their own homes and sofas. x

Ed is such a lovely laid back boy. You will generally find him lying on his bed. Approach with the lead and he gently gets up and stands quietly. Out on his walk he is so good. When we returned to the kennels yesterday afternoon there were visitors and he decided to lean on the ladies legs!! Lovely natured hound xxxxxx

Beano is as delightful as her kennel mate enjoying cuddles and attention. She is very excited when she sees the lead, but once she is is ready she walks very well and enjoys lots of sniffs. Cuddles and kisses xxxxx

Queenie is such a friendly girl. She enjoys her walks and walks nicely on her lead. Back in her kennel and it's almost impossible to leave without giving her lots of cuddles. She just loves attention, however when left she soon settles down. Cuddles and kisses for her xxx

What stinky weather first thing!! I'm sure like me, many of you got soaked walking your dogs this morning...Skip was very wise and decided to stay in bed this morning! :)) That's my boy! :)) Amazingly the rain more or less stopped in time for morning walks and it was almost sunny when the second walks were ready to start! Lady left Yvonne a rather messy floor in her kennel for her to clean this morning. Yvonne does like a challenge. 🙂 Xxx A lovely Ray of sunshine arrived when Drew came in with his new Mom and Dad to sign his paperwork. :)) Lots of love to all the family. It really is true that there is the perfect home for every retired Greyhound! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for your help today. Xxx :))

Well the nice man from the insurance came on Friday and said hes going to pay for everything how nice of him to help us out like that, Celia is lovin things at the moment because she can get into the remnants of the kitchen because Dad can't shut the doors because of the water pipes from the dehumidifiers, this is a strange and fun way into home life but the bed is much better and I love my Dad so much
