Poor Lottie. I hope the paste clears it up but if it comes back, maybe get her B12 levels checked. Lena had a problem with recurring diarrhoea (but not post GA) and her appetite was ok. The paste sorted it for a couple of days then it would come back. She was deficient in vitamin B12 and had a small bowel bacterial overgrowth. A course of B12 injections and a month on low dose antibiotics sorted her out. Hope Lottie is sorted very soon x

So sorry to hear Lottie isn't feeling too well. The Probiotic paste will hopefully help. We use it a lot on the kennel dogs when they have an upset stomach. I use it on my own dogs too, Bobby was really poorly a few months ago with food poisoning and it really worked for him. Xxx

Hi Caro, Florence wouldn’t eat or drink for days after GAs. We had to syringe water into her mouth. Not an upset stomach though. Hoping Lottie is better soon. Xxx

    I’m Homed

Although it was chilly today, it felt almost like Spring at times. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the birds were singing in the trees - it really lifted the spirits with a promise of things to come. We had no students today, but thanks to our usual Friday team of volunteers the boys & girls had both morning and afternoon walks in the lovely sunshine. No students meant I was able to do the weighings, teeth cleaning & health checks today. My gold star goes to Mr Trebles who was a model boy standing beautifully and so patiently to have his ears and teeth cleaned, nails trimmed and a good groom and massage with Aloe Vera - he really lapped up the attention and interaction, he is such a lovely boy. Kylie was as bright as a button this morning following her spey yesterday and polished off her breakfast in record time! Our 2 new girlies are settling in very well, and are such characters! After a few weeks of restricted exercise, Paddy went out on a short walk this afternoon. He was very happy to be joining the group going out of the kennels, and seemed to cope well with the walk. We had a few visitors today, for sand run fun, nail clipping and stocking up on food. Many thanks for everyone's help today, much appreciated. Well, the weekend is here again and we have viewings booked so please keep your fingers crossed that there is a red sign outside a kennel or two by Monday morning. After such a lovely day, I am raising my glass of rather nice Portuguese red wine to our boys & girls with my usual wish for forever sofas for each and every one of them. xx Whatever you are up to this weekend - enjoy. Cheers! Angie xx

I dropped Little Kylie off at the vets first thing this morning for her neutering operation. Such a tiny girl weighing just 22Kg she looked a little lost on their scales! Xxx Bob and Declan went off to the track to collect our latest new arrivals Beano and Queenie both beautiful girls. 🙂 Lucy took some fantastic photos of them! Xx Amber came in to meet Trebles again...all went quite well. :)) Drew came in again with Shirley and Richard. He is recovering well from his dental and enjoying his time with them and their Greyhound family. He is being a really good boy and he will be staying with them for a few more days. :))) Thanks so much to Shirley and Richard for sorting all the tinned food in the kitchen. We are so very grateful to everyone who donates food for our Daybreaks residents. You can be sure they appreciate it. Xx Alan was back from his holiday and normal service with the Thursday donuts was resumed! :)) Thank you Alan! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for their help today. Xxx

    I’m Homed

Kylie went off to the vets first thing this morning for her neutering operation. She was a very good girl in the car but a very nervous little girl at the vets and was was very grateful for a big hug from Debbie their Receptionist. She was a lot happier although sleepy when I picked her up later this afternoon. She only needed one tooth removed :)) We left her dinner in her kennel and when I checked the cameras later this evening she had eaten it all. :))) Such a cute little girl! Xxx
