Well they’ve only gone and done it! Well done Harry for becoming the newest member of the Harrison family! I’m sure Blue & Ben will be smiling down from Rainbow Bridge and will be pleased you’ve opened your hearts and home to another greyhound. Of course by joining them you’re going to have to make friends with us too, especially Peggy as I can imagine we might have some walks together. Lots of love for a happy retirement from Linda, Paul, Lena & Peggy xxxx

Ringo is a fantastic lad. Thanks to Norman for taking him to the park today. He has been perfect back at the kennels and has so much love to give. Yes, he is big and bouncy but once settled in the right home will be one very happy boy and make those around him happy too! Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

It was an absolute pleasure to see Harry go home today :)) He is a super lad and he has found himself a super home! Xxx Drew came in with Shirley and Richard. He was a good boy last night and considering he had such a lot of teeth out yesterday he was remarkably perky and managed to escape from the kitchen by pushing the bottom of the gate just enough so he could get out! 🙂 We decided to put him back in his kennel with Zoey for a while. Shirley and Richard's lad Murphy was most disappointed and cried...a lot! Norman went off to the park this morning along with Ringo, Kylie and Kylie's prospective new owner. They all had a good time. Xx It was a nice dry day and we had a lot of walkers...just a little chilly! Shirley, Richard and I had a go at taming the bedding store! :)) Thanks so much to everyone for your help today! :)) Xxx

At the moment both my two have on going health issues so it may not be fair to them. I don’t think I’m brave enough to offer foster as I am pretty sure I would be joining a certain club if I did!

Ringo was a real pleasure to take to Brueton Park today.He jumped in the car travelled well and was relaxed on the lead. No problems at all with other breeds. He loves treats and may have got excited in his previous home because of this around children but in an adult household he will make a fantastic companion.

Jake's Dad visited the kennels today. He sadly lost Jake a year ago tomorrow due to bone cancer. 🙁 He said he was a super lad and a hard act to follow. Xxx However he said he felt now was the right time to find another friend and reserved beautiful little Zoey. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Drew went off to the vets first thing this morning for a much needed dental. Sue very kindly took him for me. He has had 13 teeth removed. :(( Shirley and Richard collected him from the vets this evening and have taken him home with them to recuperate. Bless them. Xxx Great see Holly and Zoey reserved today! :)) We were short on walkers this afternoon, I had the chance to join in and took Blue out. He walks beautifully on the lead. We had a new club on the first walk...rather sad really as it was "The Returnees Club" Ringo, Blue, Lou and Trebles. 🙁 Hopefully they will all find their own special home. Penny too, she went on the next walk. We had a visit from Joan and Trevor with their lovely Stella. What a beautiful, happy girl. She is very much loved by her Mom and Dad and she adores them...such a difference from the poor little soul she was when she first arrived at the kennels after being picked up as a stray. She has been with them for over eighteen months! Time passes by so quickly! They brightened up the day! :))) Xxx Lovely to see Mandy and her Mom with donations of duvets too...saw lots of photos of the very handsome Gorgeous George! Xxx Thanks so much to our volunteers and students for all their help today. Xxx

I love this game called Food Bowl Madness. Everyday after my dinner I grab my food bowl and play with it. I even take it to my bed and chuck it everywhere. Today went to the extreme where I pushed over the whole stand which means the floor is a bit wet now..... must have been a cat! I’ll get it...... As said by hooman I like bread. This is also one of my games. Snoot Shopping. Pinch all items and eat what is edible. Don’t think I’m allowed out of the room when shopping is being put away now..... Lubs Russ Xx

Celia, I have to say I think Jeff swapped you on the way home. Nobody believes you coube the little whirlwind described. Just you remember...there is no such thing as a naughty greyhound (it's called character, unless your name was Norman, one of my Rainbow Bridge hounds, then he was flaming Naughty Norman). You are just finding your feet....and most of Jeffs stuff.lol xxx

Caro as you know I can beat Jeff's 3! 5 is not a problem, 3 black, one white and fawn and 1 brindle ninja who at 11 is the girl in charge. Any combination makes for a warm bed and back massages at ram when they decide to chase something in their sleep (usually only 3 on the bed though, brindle ninja Sarah included)! S Should you want to consider Paddy...he is gorgeous...he is a little bit big...he needs minimal exercise! Come pay him a visit, you will be smitten! X Jo

I can hear them and I'm looking for a fight there are dogs barking and I'm going to have them, that guy Jeff is watching James May in Japan on Amazon and there are Huskies barking on that but there are dogs in this house I can hear them, they kinda sound like huskies running, I ran downstairs but couldn't see them Jess and Carrie followed me, Jess even told me about it last night because there was no condensation on the landing window at 3 am and she saw the dog that comes in the night again, this place is proper strange, Well at least the bed is comfortable but if danger comes, Im ready but for now I'm going to sleep on Jeffs's legs I read Jeffs Facebook messages to someone he works with and he said about me "til death do we part " I think that means he sort of likes me but I can still hear those dogs and I know they are in the house somewhere and I'm gonna find them You think I'm crazy meet the real Celia !!
