It was a chilly day but no rain! :)) It was great to see Klaire and Florence again. :)) So lovely to see her and new member of the family Russ enjoying each other's company. Jo and her gang joined in with the fun in the sand run. :))) Xx Very sad for Penny who was returned to the kennels today, her owners have told us what a great girls she is, so hopefully a new home will soon be hers. Xx Many thanks to everyone who dropped off bedding. food and raffle prizes so kind of you. You can be sure it will be put to very good use. 🙂 Everything is nearly ready for our Launch Party tomorrow. Please come along and bring your four legged friend(s) with you! :)) Xxx

Very sadly due to a family illness Penny is back at the kennels. Her owners are distraught to have to return her. They say she is a fabulous girl and they will miss her very much. She is such a good girl, walks well on the lead and is very sociable with other dogs. She is very loving and great with children. She can be a little shy when meeting new people for the first time. Xxx We have paired her up with our very handsome Ed, sure he will take good care of her. Sending our best wishes to her family. Xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hello everyone! Today has been mad but amazing at the same time! It all started at the kennels! It was amazing! I saw Auntie Jo and Auntie Kate, love them to bits and was great to see them! Me, Florence and the gang all went in the sand run. We went mad and was running for ages! So fun and afterwards I got a great new collar! I just love these hoomans. When we got home the slaves left me and Florence with a dog sitter! It was great, fuss all day. I even got the chance to ask Florence out on a little date!!!! It went well and I think she might be my girlfriend, well I hope so anyway! It’s been a great day and when the slaves got back they brought loads of people back! FUSS! The house was full and it was great meeting new people. I have now learnt the doorbell brings me fuss and love! Yay! Launch day tomorrow, very excited to go and see everyone! Hope to see TheRetroShed too! What an exciting weekend! Unfortunately Florence has to leave tomorrow but I have had a great time with her. Our waggy tail competitions in the night and our musical beds. I really hope to meet up soon! Lubs Russ Xx

So jet is flying the flag in oxford this weekend and causing lots of attention from passers by cooing at him, he had one lady take a photo of him to show her daughter in Australia! If anyone is looking for a dog friendly hotel, thoroughly recommend this one, the voco oxford Thames! Xxx

Celia is Intense Hard work but good fun Carrie used to be intense Hard work, Mummy, aka Carla was So loving and special but you are beyond that, Jessamine you truely are a Princess, so polite and loving Thanks "Mummy" aka Carla for sending me this amazing Girl she is just like you were but even more so sometimes xx

We're getting excited as it's Skip's 6th birthday tomorrow. Both Skip and Sam have a pressie each. Before that we have training with cake for the doggies and lemon drizzle for the humans - both made by Connor. Then a trip to the kennels. It's a special birthday (as they all are) because Skip has gone through a nasty cancer and then a spinal stroke in the past 14 months. He still has his issues but he's a totally different dog to the one we brought home in June 2018. Simon's worked so hard with him and he's passed bronze and silver kennel club good citizens tests. Now working towards gold. We love him and Sam so much and having them has helped us through the loss of our gorgeous boy Bert. x

Just a reminder...if you are coming to our Official Launch Party on Sunday...and we would like to see as many of you as we can. Parking is available at Birmingham Exiles Rugby Club, please park at the top of the car park (closest to Coventry Road) you can access the main road via a gate leading onto it. The rugby club have requested that you park as closely to each other as you can as they have several games on and need parking space too. Please do not park at the Gables, you will be ticketed and issued with a parking charge. Many thanks. Jo

I thought mom was going to leave me but then she got my harness out and I jumped up and down with excitement. We drove for ages and ages and ages and then we were at Uncle Ian and Auntie Deborah’s house. I knew as soon as we turned into their road. I ran to the front door and then when I got inside there was Russ! Mom had told me about him but I didn’t really understand. We wagged tails and swapped beds and are having a lovely time together, I think he fancies me! I can’t wait to go to the run tomorrow. Lubs to all Florence xxxx

This is strange. A new hound has entered my house.... she is pretty so I’m trying to get on her good side! I want her to like me so I’m protecting her. We went on a walk and I didn’t leave her side. I am thinking of asking her on a date while to hoomans are out for their meal.... any tips??? I hope Florence likes me too.... On another note me and Florence have already shared games of Musical beds and had a competition of the most waggy tail. We are getting on and we are being very good! The hoomans are proud! I’m excited for the Run tomorrow with hopefully my new girlfriend and Aunite Jo with the gang. Sorry Flloyd I hope there are no hard feelings about me having a crush on Florence! Lubs Russ xx

I just love everything, thanks to everyone, I love everything, I love Daddy Jeff, thanks, I love everything, I'm not naughty I go out for a wee when I'm asked too I love Celia and I Love Carrie and I love my new Daddy and I love my bed and I love the food and I love the water and I love sleeping with Dad on our shared bed and I love it when Dad comes home and I love it when he lets me jump up at him and I love Walking with Dad even if it is 6.30 am and it dark ( I know Celia and Carrie don't like it that much but ...well I love it), did I say I'm always the last to have everything, Treats, Food, My Collar put on for a walk and everything, but I kinda like it that way because I know that Daddy Loves me Princess Jess xx

This Kennel is so strange, Princess Jess seems to love it, that guy Jeff keeps saying she is so like his "Mummy" he's proper weird, I found the most amazing food a few days ago though, it was in the sink, and that guy Jeff said " No you can't eat my washing up sponge " and pulled it out of my mouth, I HATE WEARING MY HOUSE COLLAR and I keep taking it off and I've hidden it today so he can't find it, What is wrong with you Humans ?? What is wrong with me walking on his desk or trying to eat his beard dye and that water bowl with the lid on is sooooo interesting and how weird is this he took us all for a walk at 6.30 this morning in the dark so I can't bark at Meg the Collie that live in the house on the corner, I still am the quickest at eating my dinner ( note from Jeff: It really makes me upset to see how fast she has to "think" she has to guzzle her food) I'm going to bed goodnigh Love Celia t x another note from Jeff , Celia is a Looney and Jeff is off to bed too Goodnight x

Daybreaks Diary!

A day of two halves weather wise - rainy this morning, sunny this afternoon but blooming chilly all day!!! Fortunately though, the doggies could go for both walks so they were happy. I met our latest arrivals Harry, Paddy & Zoe. They are all so lovely but I must admit to having fallen in love with Harry! He is mahoosive - but walks beautifully on his lead and eats so gently, a very friendly gentle giant. Paddy is also a handsome big chap, and little Zoe is sharing with the lovely Drew. They are getting along well, although as is typical with the girlies - she is on the big bed leaving poor Drew to curl up on the small raised bed!! A quiet day for visitors meant we could get on with preparations for Sunday's launch party - we are all looking forward to it and hope to see lots of ex residents and their families. We would like to say a huge thank you to our friends and supporters at Burns and Skinners who have very kindly donated goody bags - so the first 100 people through the gate will receive some lovely goodies, and we have popped some of our own freebies and promotional vouchers in the bags too. At the moment the weather forecast is looking good, if a bit chilly, so fingers crossed it stays that way. Well, another weekend is here and my red wine toast tonight is for all our gorgeous boys & girls, may forever sofas be just around the corner. Hope to see you on Sunday. Cheers! Angie xx
