To be honest , I just enjoy the company mad as they both are from time to time and sometimes I just want to be left alone with Dad ,I still get everything first , if its raining and I want to come back home , they follow me because Dad says they have to , Jess is my favorite though she reminds me of Mummy

Princess Jess is so affectionate, its just lovely ( apart from 2 changes of Muddy paw tops before I could go to work when she jumped up at me) Celia and Princess Jess have almost become polar opposites to the way they were described and she hasn't quite got the hang of lying on the edge of the bed yet, so down go the back legs first and then she falls off, a few nights ago that tipped the bedside cabinet over and the lamp and my water, give me 5 years with 3 and I'll have 5 greyhounds when I retire !! 1,3,5 Odd numbers and Greyhounds are loveably Odd

Celia is Officially the Craziest dog in the world, 100 times crazier than Carrie ever was, she is so interested in EVERYTHING and follows me around like a bad smell ... She's so Lovely, Butter would definitely melt in her mouth, I actually think that she thinks that she is a normal dog and not a greyhound

The residents had two extra long walks today 🙂 I had the pleasure of taking Knight out. He walks beautifully on the lead and is just the right height to be able to stroke him and walk at the same time. :)) It great to see Alan and Myra this afternoon. Everyone got back shortly before the rain. 🙁 Xxx.

I heard mom telling TC she wanted a horse, she promised it would be a small one that could live in the house so he didn’t need to build a stable for it. She said she would train it to sleep in a dog bed and get one without a mane so it didn’t need grooming a lot. TC said ‘let me guess you’ll teach it to speak dog so it can communicate with Florence’. Then he said good try and laughed...... not sure if we’re getting the horse or not. Lubs to all Florence xxx

Awww Trebles. Such a pity. Maybe you need to be with another hound and someone who doesn't work or works from home. If we had space and didnt have our hands full with Skip and Sam we'd certainly give you a chance with us. Good luck in finding your forever home. It's out there soon. x

Very smart logo!! Only four houndies to walk today. All were very well behaved. Drew walked beautifully, he is very happy to be with the other dogs. Blue was super, hes a lovely boy. Russ likes to be in the front and walks really well and Knight who is quite lively in the kennel is a delight to walk.. Virtual hugs to go with the real hugs xxxxx

We are heartbroken to have taken Trebles back to the kennels today. Unfortunately it just didn’t work out. We feel he would be more suited in a house with no stairs and people that don’t really go out often and have a lot of time to be able to help him with his separation anxiety. We are gutted as we loved him and he was a great lad. I’m sure the right home is out there for him. Hugs for you beautiful lad! Xx

I've absolutely loved reading this story and how you and Trebles seem to have rescued eachother! It all seemed to happen at the right time. Archie is such a good name for him.

We have started calling him Archie short for Archibald because of his bottom being bald because he never answers to trebles and we are not stuck on the name. We also don’t think he will be going anywhere else soon. Very please with him. A true champion in our eyes.

  • 2019 Daybreaks Diary!

    I’m Homed

I expected it to be very quiet for volunteers today, how wrong I was, we had solo much help! We had five dogs at the start of the day and only four at the end. Gorgeous little Harley found a home with an older brother, they got on really well, good luck to her. As we had so much help a lot more sorting and tidying was undertaken. We had serveral visitors to use the sand run, buy food and have a look at the current residents (those who are still here)! Lovely Robbie came in for sand run fun and to stock up on food, toys, treats and a new house collar. It's always great to see ex-residents and hear how they are getting on. Lorna had pampers and mini pampers, she was very busy this morning. Thanks to everyone for their help today, very much appreciated.
