It took four years of fostering at Christmas until Angie and her family finally became members of the Failed Foster Parent Club!! :)) Absolutely so very, very happy for Boots, he has found himself a wonderful home. Thank you all so much. Xxx

The perfect gentleman he knows the word no. Was a little restless when I took him to bed but settled when Deborah came to bed. Could not ask for anything more from the boy. Very pleased so far.

Yes we did end up coming home with a foster boy, Trebles! So far he has been the perfect house guest. He has settled well but does keep getting up out of bed if we leave the room. It’s all new for him and he seems a little nervous and confused about things which is understandable. He ate his dinner perfectly and played with his KONG Ball for a good while. He likes to have a good rest in his bed or on the floor and comes for fuss. We are struggling to get him to pee in the garden but I’m sure overtime he will get use to things. Overall his a lovely gentle boy and we love him. We will see how the night goes and we will go from there. Must be so confusing for him! We haven’t tried to let him upstairs yet but his got the option to. Doesn’t seem keen on them but probably overtime he will be racing up them. He seems happy enough which is good. As of yet no accidents in the house and his great on his walks. Seems great so far! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

It felt very chilly again today. As there were so few dogs in, Angie had got feeding and cleaning done in extra quick time and left early to sort some other things out. Trebles has gone out on foster, good luck to him. Knight came back after his Christmas holiday foster, he was such a good boy, very well behaved. Sadly Cassie (Harley) was returned as was Blue. As Kate has already said, unfortunately things sometimes don't always work out. The are both gorgeous so fingers crossed that the I stay is a short one. Fantastic to receive a call from Sparkys foster mom asking if she could become his 'proper' mom. Watch this space we may have an update on another hound very soon! Thanks to Dave who had a good old sort out of stuff around the kennels and to Chris for walking and sand run duties this afternoon. Ruth popped in briefly before heading off to the office to collect a load of our new Daybreaks Trust forms and paperwork. Hope she is feeling less tired. A massive thanks to Nick and Martha (Ruby Rebels mom and dad) for coming in with Nicks boss from JLR with a fantastic cheque donation, amazing. Going to try and get warm now, the kennel residents were all tucked up warm and cosy when we left. X
