My little girl is 9 years young today. She has had a new martigale collar and she along with Sarah, Max, Good boy Flloyd and Asbo Arry will be having fish fingers and mashed potato with their dinner tonight! Happy birthday Willow pillow, love from Mom, Dad and the rest of the furry and none furry family. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

*** Kennel deep clean ***. Sunday 29th Dec.... 10am *** Hi all. We are going to do a deep clean of the kennels, whilst the doggies are away on their holidays. If anyone is free from 10am onwards on Sunday, even for an hour or so, we would be really appreciative.... The kennels will be then all shinny for our new adventure under Daybreaks Trust. Thanks

Daisydog here wishing four legs and two a very happy Christmas. I am nearly 13 and a half now and very wonky wobbly but still loving my seaside life and being the best dressed girl around. You can never have too much of a good thing so today I am mostly eating cheese and Christmas tree shaped dog biscuits. Mum says ‘Each day is so precious with her now. Although doing ballerina plies a lot of the time the girl has such determination and spirit - it’s a special joy to spend another Christmas time with her.Old girls rock????????????’

Sadly Drews foster family have had to return him to the kennels. He was having a lot of trouble settling in their home and as they are due to visit Florence and her family for Christmas it wasn't fair on him or Klaire's cats to take him with them. They are desperately upset at having to make this decision but maybe it's just not the right time after losing their beloved Barney very recently. I'm sure they will have a new addition to their family sometime in the new year. Xxx Sending them all lots of love. Xxx Drew has been fostered again, he has other Greyhounds for company so we are hoping he will settle in a home and enjoy his Christmas holiday, even if for a few days. We are so grateful to Richard and Shirley for stepping in at such short notice. Bless you. Xxx Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Oops! The last time I looked at the clock before I fell asleep it was10.30ish...now it's Christmas Eve!!! Xx We had a really busy day which saw Danny and Britney homed and several others fostered for Christmas :))) Ruth and Jo were in too, not only doing paperwork for the dogs going out for Christmas but rearranging the office and stock taking too. Xx Sue took Scruff to the vet for the second part of her vaccination this morning. She has gone off to her foster home for Christmas and will be going to her forever home at the beginning of the new year. Xxx Thanks so much to Dave, Yvonne and Helen for all their help today. Fabulous as usual! :)) We are so very, very grateful to everyone who has fostered one of our Daybreaks residents for the Christmas holiday and to Sue for looking after Socks and Tyke for us. Xxx Must go to bed now! Xxx

Russ is a lovely, loving boy who follows us around the house! Walks great on the lead, loves to lie on his bed and so far has been a lovely boy. His only issue at the moment is he's far too interested in Reggie who doesn't share his "enthusiasm" shall we say! x

Day 1: What a weird day! I started off at the kennels and ended up at a building which my hoomans said was a house! It’s a great place to pee as I’ve already done it up the Christmas tree, door, sofa and ‘foster’ daddy’s leg! I have found toys which I love! So much fun. I went on a walk and saw 2 pugs, I got a bit excited with a little bark and jump but nothing aggressive. The hoomans said that I’ll be staying with another grey called Florence. I do move around a lot and love swapping beds! I also have a very waggy tail and love fuss! I have eaten dinner which didn’t last 5 seconds and I am now relaxing on the hard floor when I have 2 beds!! Drew Xx Add on: last night it was very hard to get Drew to settle. Took hours and wined through the night. We had him upstairs by us and he settled down a bit after that but was still restless and wanted attention. We will work on that but he just wants company. He is also super interested in the hamster though.....
