Met this handsome boy today, in a short space of time I learned he is a cheeky little monkey. I hope he finds his new home soon, I think he will be quite entertaining to have around. Enjoyed lots of scratches and cuddles today, lovely boy xx

I’m Homed
Lady has been fostered by Maggie and Paul as she was quite stressed in the kennels. Today, finally, we saw her off to her new home. Be happy little one x

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Wow! All I can say is I was considering renaming Daybreaks to ‘New Street Station’ yesterday as I had back to back appointments. Amongst these I did 8 week post homing checks for Izzy and Penny who are both thriving in their new homes and gaining weight nicely. I was busy with corns. Poor greyhounds seem blighted with them so I hull them to give them temporary relief. Laura was busy with well care bookings, the sand run was also back to back appointments. Mid afternoon a viewing for a couple not ready to adopt until the New Year seemed positive. Whilst I was driving home I had a phone call from them asking to reserve pretty Tegan! Kate has been on holiday this week and I look forward to her being back on Monday. We all send our continued love and get well wishes to Jo and she is missed greatly. Another busy day ahead but as everyone knows …. I thrive on ‘busy’!

Rocky
I’m Homed
Cuddle for you today Rocky xxx I saw Rocky at the Kennels, he is such a stunning dog!! Rocky stayed with us for on foster, as a break for him; please read his blog!! He didn't bark at all, He was house clean and very respectful. He was a lot of fun and had us in stitches as he is such a silly pup when he plays. And he played really nicely. Rocky needs clear commands and boundaries. He's only young, he needs teaching not telling xx Rocky, you deserve your own home so much. You need someone to give you the chance to show them how super you are. A gentle, nurturing and encouraging family. You are beautiful xx

I just love this sweetheart. Her kennel is always clean in the morning and her bed needs a quick tidy - having first moved all her toys out of the way!!! She is so affectionate and friendly, and is waiting so patiently for her next forever home to come along. Good luck poppet. Xxx

Bye Bye my little furry Angel. I'll miss you so much. Beautiful and kind, gentle and so good. You always knew when someone was upset and grieving at the vets and went over to them to put your head on their lap. God Bless love you so much. Mom xxxx

Jato
Over the Rainbow Bridge
This afternoon we lost little Jato, she was a tiny nervous little lady, with a gentle smile. She was 11 and 1/2, had gone from being our ‘surprise’ baby of three to rolling her eyes at Joe and being an older girlie watching him gallop about not to gently - and joining in with racing down the garden. She didn’t trust easily, had some unusual worries- the floor and doorways (our own that she used on the regular- my boss has often had a text with a photo of these big eyes trying to find the braves to step into the house, before I could leave for work. She slipped away on her own terms which is how she did most things, dig her little feet in and that was it no amount of begging, bribing would change her mind. (She was a bit of a mummy’s girl) and she had surgery a few weeks ago to remove what turned out to be a tumour, at her age, and with her general mistrust of people and places it was decided with Jordana at the Willows we would wait and watch - that was a mere seven days ago she left us as suddenly as she arrived. Night night little one. Xxx
