Gracie is back at Daybreaks..... she has been extremely loved and well fed as she is 36.5kg! She is ok with other breeds and not bothered by cats and she tells you if she needs to go to the toilet. She can be left for up to 4 hours. She has lived in a bungalow so not used to stairs but I am sure if there was a treat upstairs, she would happily go up! She has two walks a day but goes back to the car when she has had enough. She sleeps well, is very quiet and likes the sofa - she really is adorable so please call us if you are interested. 0121 782 7702.

Daybreaks Diary!

Today was another sad day for not just Daybreaks but for family, friends and those that knew Bob. Today he was laid to to rest in his final resting place. He was peacefully laid to rest, with a bag piper playing along the way, at St. Nicholas (Elmdon Church) in Elmdon not far from the kennels where he is now reunited with his wife. He is and will alwayds be missed, loved and cared about.

Very sadly Gracie is being returned due to personal circumstances and her owner is very upset about this. If you are interested in this pretty little girl give us a call. After being in a home for the past year she may be a little stressed in the kennels.

Absolutely adore this very Special lad! When he first arrived at the kennels he was a quiet reserved lad....but now as Shanesmum said earlier, he is a fruit cake! :)) I got lots of hugs from him when he came out of his kennel this morning. :)) Then he had a race around the feeding run. A real character, bless him. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

What an incredibly hot week it has been! It's been so hard trying to keep the dogs as cool as possible when we have all been "melting" ourselves! I am so grateful to all of our volunteers who have come in to help. Xxx Most mornings, we managed to take the dogs out for short walks with the help of the cool coats. But the afternoons were just far too hot. Last summer we were very kindly donated a huge industrial fan, it has been great! :)) It has happily been blasting cool air around the kennels and has helped to keep,the temperature down, but today was so very hot. The temperature in the kennels this afternoon reached 29 degrees. :(( I cannot fault our beautiful Greyhounds this week. Despite the heat and not being able to get out as much as they normally do, they have remained happy, affectionate souls and have been no trouble whatsoever. Content to pop in and out of their kennels for a change of scene, groomed and teeth cleaned. Plenty of cool mats to lie on, one or two had a play in the paddling pools and they all enjoyed having lunch! Greyhounds really are fabulous! Xxx Xxx
