Ahhh, dont worry guys. I dont know your background/circumstances and if the time is not right for adoption then it is not right. However, getting him out of the kennels after so many months and teaching him new things and letting him have a positive home experience will undoubtedly benefit him in the long run. I am sure he will benefit from your love and experience and it will be an enjoyable time for all of you. I wish you all the very best for your time together. Please give him a big hug and kiss from me. Hes a bigger & stronger & a bit of a blacker version of my Melly!!! X

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
I guess Spring is over! We had a lot of rain this afternoon...out came the coats again for the walks!! Great news! We finally got a urine sample from our lovely cat Socks this morning. The vet looked at it this afternoon and didn't find anything to worry about. Xx Second piece of great news this morning was finding bits of muzzle in Nerys' poo! She had managed to eat most of a muzzle earlier in the week and we have been waiting with anticipation for it to come come out the other end...phew! Xx We are very grateful to Michelle and Roy for giving Rocky a break from the kennels for a few days and a chance to gain more experience of the outside world. 🙂 x Buster went to the vets for the second part of his vaccination today. He loves travelling in the car. He settles straight away and is no trouble. We got stuck in traffic so the journey was twice as long as normal. He snoozed the whole time! :)) when we arrived at the vets the lady in before us came out with her tiny Yorkshire Terrier. Buster needs a little help with the small fluffy dogs! ....didn't help with the lady letting go of her dogs lead and him wandering around! Buster was brilliant with the vet and then slept all the way back to the kennels. :)) x A very constructive day, Richard, Declan and Alan made several trips to the tip. The back carpark is looking so much tidier. Thanks so much. Xx Ruth did the warehouse run to get much needed supplies. We had the pleasure of the company of Tigger and her Momma. Tig was such a good girl and even told us she needed to go to the toilet. :))) Xx Ex Daybreaks resident Molly popped in for a pamper with Jess. She looked lovely. Xx Thanks so much to everyone for your help today and for getting very wet this afternoon. Xx AND it was donut Thursday! Thanks Alan...sorry you got your finger squashed in the gates! Xx Xxx

I feel I must say something, we have taken him to help him transition from racing to home life. But we are in no position to take on another hound yet. So please don’t think this is a trial, he’s a great dog highly intelligent and very loving, we would have him in an heart beat, however circumstances are not right at the moment. Roy

OMG.....Rockstar......way to go boy!!! We are over the moon with joy and a little tear or two at such wonderful news. You are such a fabulous lad and just need your own environment now in which to learn, grow and flourish and show off your 'rockstar' qualities. Be a good boy.....it all sounds so very positive. I shall miss seeing you in your kennel on your back, legs and all in the air!!! Keeping all of our fingers, toes and paws crossed for a successful and happy outcome. Seana, Melly and Teddy xxx

Oh well i am over the moon to see of this fostering! I can understand that rocky is privledged to be at michelle and roys because of difficult circumstances but how proud would all of your 3 boys be now?! But Rocky isn't blonde lol! Now what was it you said to me Michelle when deciding on jet 'stop been your blooming normal sensible self and just take jet!' And you know what thank goodness i listened as where would i be without him now?! Keeping all my fingers crossed for you all as i was there all those months ago on the day rocky arrived and its been too long! Wonder if he realises that if he plays his cards right he's going to be worlds most pampered pooch?! Sending you all our love and jet is crossing paws too as would love another pal to play with! Lots of love lucy and jet (suppose i better include ryan too!) Xxx

First impressions. Rocky is an intelligent boy who finds the outside world exciting and full of wonder and I believe he will settle down once he knows what's what. Remember he did a lot of racing, so all this is very new. He loves the motor looking out of the window, no barking or leaping around, just enjoying all the new intriguing sites and sounds. First the meadow, he didn't go mad but enjoyed sniffing with the odd burst, he also went down this afternoon https://youtu.be/FzoAKRKXQq4. Then on the Maybird Center, Michelle disappeared into Boots and I walked around, he was as good as gold, only raising his head when a chap walked past eating something. Followed by a walk around Pets at Home and past the rabbits a few times, whether it was the glass or too many others things going on, but no reaction. And now home he's had a look around the garden and now sleeping in front of the telly. I know this against the rules and I have no doubt I will have to report to the headmistress for a telling off. But I was informed he doesn't like his mussel, therefore I have left it off and maybe its a trigger for him to go racing, and up to now apart its the rule, I have seen no reason that he needs to wear one, he's walked by my side through a park and around the shopping centre, stopping for a pee and sniff, but that's it. Tomorrow the cycle path.
