Jet did really well in the park yesterday; he is a keen walker and happy to go on and on. He's interested in everything around him and was less anxious around other dogs, His Christmas foster time must have been really positive. Lets hope New Year bring's him a furever home.

Jet was so lovely on his walk this afternoon. He does enjoy a good nose around but he doesn't pull and listens and obeys requests (to wait and also leave it). Sitting with and cuddling him is very therapeutic. Xxxxxxx lovely lovely boy x

Aw Treaty!. He was very excited when I went into his kennel. He was wearing his very fetching fleece as a skirt and despite his excitement he was cooperative whilst I tidied him up. He loved being fussed and he walked nicely by my side. Kisses for you Treaty xxx

Washed all of Florence's bedding today. When we first adopted her mom had just gone into a care home so I used her single quilt for Florence's bed. Noticed today that it is silk and having checked online retailers £185! One lucky girl. Xxx

Hey Florence I’ve heard you are coming to stay! So pleased I can spend time with you again. Mum said you can lie on the sofa as much as you want. I’ve never tried Don’t see the point really. The bed is a lot better. I have a few tricks to get things out of our humans which I’ll teach you when you get here. Look forward to it. Barney Xx

What a beautiful dog! He walks so well on the lead and is very responsive when spoken to. He has lovely soft fur and gorgeous eyes. I think he's very intelligent and not over excitable standing calmly to have hes lead etc. put on xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Thanks to everyone who came in to help today with feeding, cleaning and walking. Also, thanks to Liz_Beth for taking Jetson out for a couple of hours, I think he really enjoyed a break from the kennels. We were expecting 2 new arrivals today. Bob and Gloria went off to pick them up, they came back with just the one, the other little girl decided to come into season! The girlie that came in is Peggy, she is so really cute and did enjoy her bath 🙂 It did start getting a bit chilly this afternoon so all dogs are wrapped up warm with their heaters on.

Jetson
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Jetson came with me, my husband and my greyhound for a walk on the canals today. He jumped in the car easily and settled within minutes. When he lay down on the back seat, he positioned himself so that he could look between the two front seats to check out where he was going, so cute! He walks really well and enjoys a good lean if you stop for a few minutes. He is an affectionate boy, who enjoys experiencing life outside of the kennels. He was a pleasure to take out xx
