I'm glad that Jet had a little trip to the park yesterday. He really does seem quite down bless him. His time in foster was a really positive experience for him showing just what a great pet he will be, and the more he sees of the world the more he will get used to it. He has been with us since August and really needs his own forever home soon. Here's hoping the next red sign will be his. Xxx

I have to agree with the comments made about this lovely lad. I took him into the sand run on Friday morning for a play. After taking off his lead he trotted gently off, having a little sniff here and there and making his way slowly up to the end. I turned away, and when I turned back a 38kg black object was hurtling towards me like a rocket!!!! I did get out of the way in time' and Stanley came to a halt in a shower of sand! He then trotted across to the gates, play time was obviously over and his bed was calling. He just makes me smile bless him. He may be a large lad but he is a true gentle giant and so loving. His very own sofa must be out there. Xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Jess was busy with pampers and nail clippings today. It was great to see all the lovely ex Daybreaks residents. Ronnie and Reggie came for a visit, still very handsome doggies! :)) Many thanks to Jayne for cleaning out the old freezer this morning! It was rather yucky!! Last week she had her head buried in the recycling bins and this week the freezer! Goodness knows where she will end up next time. :)) Thanks to everyone who came in to walk the dogs, it managed to stay dry, most of the time. A couple of our boys are are still a little unsettled after their Christmas break including Jet, he had such a good time with his foster family and has has seemed very down in the dumps. Thanks so much to Ruby Rebels Mom and Dad for taking him to the park with them to cheer him up. :)) They said he was calmer than the last time they took him...sure he will get used to the outside world with someone to help him. Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for their hard work today. Two more new arrivals tomorrow. :)) Xxx

Mom has been really ill for a week, nearly had to go to hospital. SFF Maud and I looked after her by keeping our eyes on her a lot. Today she got up and finally came for a walk with me. She's still not right though so when she lay down on the sofa this afternoon I got on with her and we had a lovely cuddle, never done it before and mom said she loved it. Might do it again! I've heard her say we are in Birmingham soon and might be able to visit Daybreaks, I hope so. Lubs to all, Florence xx

This morning I decided to wake mum using a very good technique. Slowly make your way to the rubbish bin and take everything out. Proceed to rip up everything in there and make as much noise possible. Works every time. Normally ends up with a human slowly getting up and gives you weird look. You then find them cleaning up! After that I stroll downstairs go to the treat draw then just stare at them demanding for a treat. Works most of the time. If they ignore you do a little whine. Barney add
