Beautiful Sophie came in for her four week health check today. She looks fabulous! She is loving her new home and new life. She has made lots of friends and has well and truly discovered the sofa! :)) Xxx

Buddy is a great lad. He is understandably a little stressed at finding himself back at the kennels. He is a very handsome lad who has obviously been well looked after and very much loved in his home. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

A busy day today...Laura had Pamper customers including the very handsome Padfoot! He had a lean on everyone! Xxx Sophie came in for her four week health check up, she looked wonderful! We also had a visit from recently homed Magic, he is doing well in his new home. :)) We are having some much needed repairs done to the kennels at the moment. Our old blue gate has now been replaced with a much higher, sturdier one. Today, one of the very old windows in the bottom block has been replaced with a brand new one. 🙂 It looks fantastic and will make such a difference to keeping the cold out this winter. Next on the list is renewing some of the panels on the roof of the bottom block. :)) We are so grateful to John the gentleman carrying out the work....Although, we did have to ask him to stop making a noise this morning as he was putting Penny off her breakfast! Xxx Richard and Declan spent a good couple of hours emptying and moving food stores around...Xxx After all the hard work, much to Richard's amazement, I made a hot drink for everyone today...It doesn't happen very often! :)) This afternoon, Alan and Declan went to collect some very kindly donated food and treats for us from Morrisons in Sheldon. Thank you so much. Xxx Thanks you to everyone for all your help today. Xxx

I very rarely ever make a comment on a returned dog, mainly as we can never know the reasons behind the return. However today having heard about Buddy I know his owner was heartbroken and the last thing he wanted was to return him. But he made the sad decision as this was best for Buddy. I hope very much that his return to Daybreaks will be a brief one, so sad for everyone xx

Lady is a gorgeous and sweet little girl. She was very wobbly after her Neutering operation on Monday...Ruth had a full house and car, so I took her home for the night. Xxx She was very quiet and absolutely no trouble at all. Xxx My three were so good with her and very well behaved, instead of their usual dancing around after dinner! I think they knew she didn't feel too well. 🙂 Xxx She has gone out on Foster while she recovers from her operation. Xxx

Well it would have been our 9th gotcha day today my darling boy, you were the best birthday present ever! We had to go and meet mia's new pre school teachers today and we were talking about her and I said about all the animals and how good she is with them and how we've taught her all about the angels and what happens etc and her teacher said 'oh yes, jet, she's told me all about him!' Now we've never met this teacher so I haven't said a word or prompted her so she must be going and telling people about you off her own back. Made me fill up but also beam with pride as I promised you you'd never be forgotten and your memory would live on forever. Love u so much xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Short post roadshow update after the Stratford Racecourse event today. It was very busy with other stands, family things to do and dinosaurs walking round!! I took my Penny today and it was her first time in the van and to such a massive social event, I'm pleased to announce she was superb in the van and most of all made Daybreaks so proud by showing off her bib and what we are all about at the charity. By the end of the day I raised a total of £174.70. This was a good amount and cannot wait to go there again, this event in particular needs a number of volunteers to cover the whole area so please let me know if you would like to help out. If there is anyone that would like to volunteer on roadshows, please email me your name and phone number to rob.daybreaks@outlook.com and i will add you to my database for future events.

I spoke to Mayah's trainer yesterday...he called to see how she is settling in at Daybreaks. :)) We both agreed she is a very lively young lady, and a very happy girl! Just waiting for her special home to come along. She will be lots of fun! Xxx
