Very sadly Nick's family have decided they will have to return Nick to the kennels. He has become increasingly worried around their young Daughter and they feel he would be much happier In a home without young children. They are devastated things have not worked out for him. We are very grateful to them for giving him a chance and understand completely their reason for his return. I am sure the right home and situation is out there for him. He is staying with one of our lovely friends until the New Year. Xxx

we fostered Ruthy on dec 21st after the sudden death of our beloved Meg 10 yrs old.Wow what a find she is so loving with a very lively spirit,she really has settled in so well she has found her forever home.

I do love a good fail! Welcome to the ever increasing and the not so exclusive FFP club! Any more takers for a fail? We don't mind, the more the merrier! On a serious note, we are so very, very grateful to all of you that have taken a hound into your home and hearts over the festive period. We know some of you would dearly love to offer a forever home, but are not in a position to do so at the moment. Once again a massive thanks. Jo. X

Barney was a very good boy over Christmas and showed us he needs another grey around to keep him happy. Normally very nervous around lots of people but was the golden boy this Christmas. Does like to chat to Florence in the early hours but that’s ok I was in the other room fast a sleep.

Hey Barney, mom says it was wonderful to have you all visit and she hopes you can come again soon. I am missing you already but have reclaimed the settee from your family and am spreading out as far as I can. Hoping your mommy lets you have a brother or sister, just give her the 'eyes'! We are really happy for Rocky getting a new home and that everyone is having a lovely time in their foster homes. Lubs to all. Florence xxx

Well we are back home from a long drive again. Apparently I was a very good boy on the way home. Not a sound off me and I went for a pee when we stopped. The past few days have been amazing. Yesterday we spent the whole day at a friends with me and Florence’s boxer cousin Acer. She is a bit too excited so I have to do a little growl to warn her. It was a nice day. I will miss Florence a lot. I will especially miss the games of musical beds and musical food bowls we did together. It was amazing. She made feel very confident and she is very good company. Will miss her and hope to see her again really soon. Since we have been home I ain’t moved all this travel has made me really tired. Wales was very nice. I only made a wee puddle twice in the house... I think I deserve a brother or sister after this. Mummy says no though... Lubs Barney xx

3 years ago today Max was sadly returned to kennels. I fostered him 2 days later, and well...the rest as they say is history! Ftp as I named him officially on 9 Jan. Xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well done Rocky's foster parents for failing miserably and so quickly and becoming proud FFP's. I hope Daybreaks soon runs out of my FFP tee shirts. Lovely to see how the foster hounds are showing all they need to live happy lives is someone to love and another hound to show them the ropes. They are such quick learners and I am sure it will help in their search for that forever home. Foster people you are wonderful. I have FFP'd twice so I know how hard it is to take a hound on a short break and send them back, but you have given them the best gift for Xmas and they start the New Year with renewed chances because of you. thank you xx
