2019 Daybreaks Diary!

I met new arrivals Ratty and Hector today. Ratty is such a cute little girl and Hector, wow! What a chunky, cuddly lad! :)) Mitzy has found herself a lovely new home and has a new Greyhound brother also a previous Daybreaks resident. 🙂 Many thanks to Lisa for taking Olive over to her new home this morning. She too has a previous Daybreaks lad for a Brother! Wishing them both very happy new lives. We had lots of visitors bearing gifts today, thank you all so much for the food, treats and toys for the dogs and chocolates for the volunteers. So very kind of everyone. Xx Lecky's mouth is looking a lot better. :)) She is a lovely, girl who would be happy with her own company. Xx Pete is still working hard on the kitchen. Pete is a perfectionist, it will be a work of art when it's finished. 🙂 Think we will have to have an official opening and ask one of the dogs to chew through the red ribbon! Xxx

Poor little Rose, our Grey Dexter is fear aggressive has been since we had him 6 years ago, it's something we have had to work with and know how to handle, but wouldn't swap him for the world. Hope you are OK little Rose xxxx

Yay! Staples taken out today and Skip is discharged. He needs to wear the soft collar when unsupervised for a few days as he still has a small scab, but hopefully that will heal soon and we can bring him and Bert for a pamper session at the kennels. x

Lecky is such a dainty little girl. She has tiny paws. She waits nicely to have the collar and lead put on and then walks beautifully. A real lady this one. Xxx

Wow wow and Wow!!. What a fantastic big boy Hector is. I took him on a walk along the Cov. Rd this aftetnoon and he was absolutely great. Walked nicely on the lead, wasn't bothered by the traffic or airline noise. Lovely boy xxxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Update from foster parents today... Spritz had her dressing changed today and such good news, the wound is almost healed. The Vet was delighted with it, a further dressing change on Friday so keep fingers crossed the incredible progress continues. After the vet we took her to visit Aunty Ruth who was so pleased to see Spritz looking so much better. After such an exciting day she is now fast asleep in her basket bless her. X
