2019 Daybreaks Diary!

The memory tree at Daybreaks looks absolutely beautiful and especially lovely with the tags on remembering many special greys. If you would like to order a tag, please call the kennels on 0121 782 7702. These are a minimum donation of £15 and will stay on the tree forever. Apart from the cost of the tag, the remainder is a direct donation to Daybreaks Trust which funds the continuing improvements to the kennels.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

What a cold miserable day, I think it got colder as they day went on, nothing could brighten this day up....wrong! Our favourite boy Nick went home, he had lots of new stuff to take with him, spoilt already. I thought I was holding up quite well until he jumped in the car ready to go HOME!! I confess I did cry a few tears. I hope all goes well with is new family, I did have a quiet word in his ear 'Nick, for goodness sake be good'! I am sure he will be :)) Thanks as always to our intrepid Wednesday walkers, thanks also to those who stayed in and helped with afternoon walks and feeding. We had a fantastic donation from Jess greyhounds human sister who sent us some rather lovely fleecy blankets with doggies on and tins of pilchards. Greyhound Jess's mom and dad also brought in some pilchards and treats for our residents as well as for our resident cats. They didn't forget us humans either, biscuits and mince pies, yum. We have 2 more wonderful raffle prizes up for grabs, a fab photo shoot and for all you chocolate lovers a great hamper full of goodies. Tickets are available now. Don't forget our foster appeal for Christmas, you will not be expected to fail unless you choose to! Seriously though, It gives the dogs a taste of what living in a home is like and also helps us with your comments and feedback with trying to find them their forever homes. If you did decide to fail for any reason, just remember we do have the official Failed Foster Parents t-shirts for sale 😉 Thank to those who have so far put their name down to take a resident. X I am sure you will all join me in hoping that Ruth starts to feel better soon, we miss her and know she misses the kennels. I know she was gutted having to miss our Christmas open day. Speedy recovery Ruth. Xxx

Jess wants to say thank you so much to Aunty Lorna for my pamper treatment, i was a little nervous but i now smell lovely so mommy says and my nails are nice and short going to try and get mommy to paint them for Christmas and hope that my brothers and sister in the kennels will like the new blankets and enjoy eating the fishies my hooman sister and mommy donated xx
