Karen one of our volunteers brought her two gorgeous whippets Gracie and Rufus to the kennels today to do some "meet and greets" with some of our residents. Ratty, Shabby and Lecky all did really well. Stan was a little more keen...don't think he could quite understand what they were especially as they were wearing Christmas coats and hats! 🙂 We also did some cat testing....sadly no one passed this particular test today! Not to worry, sure there are plenty of cat free homes out there for them. 🙂 We had lots of walkers today :)) The dogs were able to go for longer walks this morning. And included going "off road" along the public footpath by the farm. I believe they all enjoyed it, so much so that Ratty didn't want to come back to the kennels! We had to send Norman out with a bag of tasty treats for a little bribery. :)) Thanks to Lucy for the new photos on the website, I think you will all agree we have lots of beautiful boys and girls in the kennels at the moment. If you can't adopt at present but have Greyhound experience maybe you might like to offer someone a foster home for Christmas please give us a call. :)) Thank you so much to everyone for their help today. 🙂 Xxx

Totally agree I think this boy is stunning and even more so that the daily diary said he was 39kg so must be huge which makes me want him more but I know my hubby would definetly notice especially after our youngest cat has just treated us to an £720 vet bill for somehow managing to slice the end of her tail off! Xxx

Oh my goodness this is simply tragic. She was so young and should have had a long and happy retirement. I’m just so sad for her family and her fur brother. Sleep tight lovely Rose xx

Roses's family called to tell us their beautiful girl died tragically of a suspected heart attack today. Her owner returned home to be greeted enthusiastically as usual by Rosie and Jim. Very sadly Rosie was suddenly taken ill and passed away in her arms. Absolutely devastated for them. God Bless your sweet Rose. Xxx

Fat neck Finn wants to know if his "starvation" diet that Aunty Pam inflicted on him has anything to do with BREXIT and stockpiling because everything seems to be put down to this !!! Also he feels victimized because Hector is described as cuddly and he weighs more than him. I told him don't be so spitful, Hector is comfort eating till he finds a home LOL

Hi Alison, lovely to speak to you today. As discussed we have lovely winter fleeces for Brandy to model when you pick him up on Sunday. We always say if your heating goes off at night they will probably be cold. Our residents will all have their fleeces on tonight....except for Jet who usually takes his off sometime during the night! :)) Xxx
