A lovely sunny Autumn day today, I always think things feel so much better when the sun's shining. This morning saw the lovely Fairy, now called Ivy, off to her new home. Wishing her a very happy retirement. It was a quiet morning so residents had a play in the sand run. Fortunately we had plenty of volunteers in the afternoon so the boys & girls could enjoy a lovely walk down the lane. Update on Spritz, who went for a dressing change this morning. The Vet is very pleased with her progress, the wound has shrunk again and looks very clean. She is also well on the mend following her terrible illness last week, just a couple more blood tests on Monday to ensure things are still going in the right direction. She was an absolute star at the Vet's and everyone there has fallen in love with her. So happy for this most special little lady. x Can you believe it is December tomorrow? We will be setting up in preparation for Santa's visit on Sunday, and would be so grateful for any assistance, just give the kennels a call. Looking forward to seeing lots of friends, both 2 & 4 legged, on Sunday and hope the weather is kind to us. Thanks for everyone's help today, time now for a glass or two of wine (just for a change!!) Angie xx

Latest update from Teddy...he is having a wonderful time and has got his family well and truly trained just how he wants them! He says he isn't keen on just walking along the roads so now has several parks he likes to visit in his chauffeur driven car! He is a very good boy and tells his Mom when he needs a wee, even if it is usually 2am in the morning!! He has discovered Salt and vinegar crisps taste great and is partial to a peanut butter sandwich for his lunch, that's after sharing his Dad's toast at breakfast! For Christmas he is having a leather collar and lead made specially for him by a Saddle maker. :)) Xxx Teddy's Mom is very kindly knitting blankets for us and has asked if anyone has any unwanted balls of double knit wool she would be very grateful and will be at the Christmas party on Sunday. Xxx It is so lovely to hear what a fantastic new life Teddy has and we thank his family so much for giving him a chance. Xxxxx

Rocky
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Those of you who have met and walked Rocky know he is not happy around bicycles. 🙁 We borrowed Ruth's bike yesterday and invited him to "meet" it! He sniffed it very cautiously at first but was quite relaxed. Then I rode up and down the drive a little and he walked past it, only barking once. I think it helped that I was only going very slow so as not to fall off!! We will keep on showing him bikes are not that bad. 🙂 He really is a happy, loving lad who just needs some extra help with the scary outside world. Xxx

We had two new arrivals today Kirsty and Stanley, they are lovely! Lucy and Declan gave them both a bath. Stan really didn't like having his nails trimmed and proceeded to scream, very loudly!! Fairy went off to the vets first thing for her neutering operation. She was very wobbly when I picked her up tonight. She is going home tomorrow. Sure she will get lots of extra tlc. Many thanks to Alan, Richard and Dave for doing two tip runs for us. not the Chuckle Brothers today, but the Three Musketeers!! 🙂 xx Thanks so much to everyone for their help for all their help today. Xxx
