Handsome Jet came out for a nice long walk with me today. He loves being out and jumped in the car very happily. He settled quickly and I didn't hear a peep out of him until we arrived at the canals. He enjoys a brisk walk, which is perfect for me. I had to laugh, when I synced my fitbit it thought we had done a 29 minute walk and 61 minutes aerobic workout!! He is pleased to accept any fuss that comes his way and greets you with a waggy tail. However he is excitable around other dogs and will need some help getting used to seeing other breeds on his walks. Practice makes perfect though xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

What a great day for some of our residents! We were all so very happy to see Brandy reserved by Alison and her family. Thank you for travelling all the way from Leeds to visit us and offer our fabulous Brandy a home with you all. Xxx Little Sky found herself a home too. :)) She is meeting her prospective new doggy brother tomorrow; he is a Border Terrier called Diesel. 🙂 Fingers crossed they like each other! Norman took her to Pets at Home in Stratford this morning he said she was such a good girl. 🙂 To end the day on a high lovely little Fairy found herself reserved! So happy for them all. :)) Thanks so very much to everyone for their help today. Ricky had already been to the warehouse and unloaded the van when I arrived at the kennels first thing! Then he took Layla off to a roadshow at Mell Square in Solihull 🙂 We had the help of a new recruit...Pip, a cute little Schnauzer! Jess brought him to help with some small dog testing for us. He was such a good boy. 🙂 Xxx Ruth and Andy popped in this morning. It was great to see Ruth looking better. :)) Hope it won't be long before she is feeling fit again. She saw Sara at the hospital earlier, she is still really poorly. Sending lots of love to her from us all. Xxx Xxx

It is soul destroying when you know how critically ill one of our dogs is and you cannot share as she was so ill. It has been touch and go, and by no means is she out of the woods yet. Please keep this little soul in your hearts and thoughts. As Lewisfuggie has said we have cried and cried, this girl does not deserve this, it should never have got to this stage. Come on girl keep fighting. X

Buddy continues to improve and is an absolute delight. He joined us on a roadshow today and loved all the attention, although he had to have a lie down occasionally!

Thank you everyone for the lovely warm welcome we received today. I was very taken with the beautiful Reggie's Roman nose but Brandy is a better fit for our family. Looking forward to giving him some home comforts!

So sad that this sweet old lady and all animals really, have to suffer so much through no fault of their own. Thankfully Ruth and Daybreaks family are always there to love and comfort them. Hope my donation will help along with others that I am sure will follow, however small it all helps. Hang on in there Spritz we are all sending love and thinking of you and also the kind foster parents. xx

Poor Spritz has been very poorly over the last few days. I did not want to post as the last 24 hours have been touch and go but she is in the capable hands of Willows. She became very ill and the vets believe this could be as a result of septicaemia. She is now stable, although still critical and we are keeping everything crossed for her. Due to all the immense in patient care, investigations and treatment we are already facing costs of over £2,000. As you know we work extremely hard to fund raise to pay our vets bills so we would be enormously grateful if you could help by clicking on the donation link on her page. I will keep you updated and please keep everything crossed for her recovery. I have added photos that were taken when we popped to visit her today.
