Had a lovely phone call fromJulie, Teddy's Mom to say how well he is settling into his new home. They have been able to reclaim their bed and Teddy now has two beds of his own in their bedroom. 🙂 His cheeky personality is beginning to emerge and he has been racing around the garden. He is a real Mommy's boy and she and Mick adore him. Thank you so much to them for giving a special boy a very special home. Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

We are very grateful to Alan who very kindly took Honey to her new home this morning. He said she had a great time exploring her new surroundings. 🙂 Alan also carried out a home visit for Tears...she will be going home tomorrow. :))) Mitzy also went home today. Wishing her a very happy new life. Xx Iceman found himself reserved again. 🙂 Keeping everything crossed all works out for him this time. Xxx Great to hear good news about Gracie and Patch. Xxx Thanks so much for everyone's help today. So very grateful. Xxx

Shandy
Over the Rainbow Bridge
One year ago today the official paperwork was completed and Shandy had her home. The day we took her she had been on a roadshow and was coming back just as we were deciding on if we were ready to rehome another Greyhound (so glad she came walking up the drive at that precise moment because we wouldn’t be without her)....Shandy had an extra lazy day and a bone to celebrate and is now stretched out in front of the fire...........they all have their own little special ways and her love of playing fetch is hilarious. Sending love to everyone at daybreaks and hoping more get their own homes soon xxxx

Thank you to everyone who has visited the memorial of all our rainbow bridge fury friends.... There are so many flowers, it truly looks beautiful.... We are currently setting up a rememberance "tree" wall where people can ordered a name tag and attach to the branches of the picture wall. X

Patch's foster mom has been in touch today and has sent pics... He has continued to put on weight which is fantastic news and has a very healthy appetite. He is doing so well and is loved by his foster parents so much. X

Spritz aka Gracie is improving day by day, her foster mom says she is such an affectionate girl who paws for fuss... She is clean in the house and is so settled and chilled now. She will be up for rehoming soon.

I have been in contact with Burns who were really helpful they have advised that as my two are classed as seniors I should be feeling an amount of 8gms per kg body weight this seems a very small amount! Now my two are by no means over weight Jed comes in at 27kg and is quite petite Lottie is 34kg and is a much bigger grey. I don’t mean to doubt Burns but I would be interested in knowing the amounts others are feeding my two have two meals a day plus a few treats at lunchtime. Burns say the reason mine may not be eating the whole meal is that they are full.
