A big cuddle tonight for pretty girl,Gal. She was neutered today. I dropped her of at the vets this morning. She travelled so well in the car. :)) Many thanks to Richard and Ian for picking her up. She throughly enjoyed her dinner when she got back, she does love her food! Xxx

Molly is absolutely adorable! She was understandably stressed when she arrived, but she found some toys to play with...the blue unicorn was her favourite. 🙂 She ate all her dinner and enjoyed a Dentastix at bedtime. Hoping she will find a special home soon. Xxx Thanks so very much to Rob for meeting her family half way and bringing her back to Daybreaks. :)) Xxx

Little Truf update from my foster home... There is one word to sum up today...Ice-cream!! Tomorrow is the day I got to pick Molly up. I spoke with her owner today and was upset about having to return her. It is going to be a very sad day for the both of them but the owner knows Molly is going to be looked after just like at home. Myself and all at Daybreaks wish her owner the best of wishes and not to lose touch woth us here.

Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
Due to ill health I have been out of the loop for several months and so it is with great sadness that I learned from Ruth today that Bob is no longer with us. It was always a pleasure to see you and have a chat Bob. May you rest in peace. Love Seana and Fergal. MISS ME BUT LET ME GO When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that once was shared, miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we must take, and each must go alone. It is all part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know. Bear your sorrow in good deeds, miss me but let me go. And a Pam Ayres poem... Don't lay me in some gloomy churchyard shaded by a wall, where the dust of ancient bones has spread a dryness over all. Lay me in some leafy loam where, sheltered from the cold, little seeds investigate and tender leaves unfold. There kindly and affectionately, plant a native tree to grow resplendent before God and hold some part of me. The roots will not disturb me as they wend their peaceful way to build the fine and bountiful, from closure and decay. To seek their small requirements so that when their work is done, I will be tall and standing strongly in the beauty of the sun.

Truf update....being a really good girl in my foster home! I love lying in the cool grass in the garden and getting lots of fuss (and treats if im lucky!) from my human foster brothers. I'm enjoying lots of walks in the woods, sometimes with my new smaller fluffy doggy pal Sheena. I love training games and chill out time in my big crate with my fave blankets and caterpillar. I sleep well at night and have no accidents any more. My foster family are slowly showing me not to be worried by all the strange things in the outside world, and I'm giving them lots of loves in return. Love Truf xxxxx

Molly
I’m Homed
I had a telephone call this morning from the owner of Molly who sadly needs to find a new home at the age of 10. For people to understand why, I asked Molly's owner to write her reasons for this as below. With every dog we rehome, we will always take them back and she will be back with us as soon as transport is arranged. Molly's owner told us: We fostered Molly 5th June 2018. We were her first Home initially in Birmingham, she has had many happy Moments in our house with lots of love shared from our little family. Molly has enjoyed the freedom of our large Garden In Weymouth, Beach walks although she still isn't comfortable around other dogs. She is used to having someone home to catering to all her needs during the day. Feeling content in her Bed so long as you're there to let her out, or share your biscuit. She doesn't demand much as a pet. In 2019 we moved to Weymouth, Dorset, a different lifestyle for Molly, although she wasn't sure of the sea and pebbles under her paws. She has enjoyed walks around the area. I would say that Mollys reactions to small dogs hasnt changed, she can be barky if not sure of the other Dogs. She loves Male company, quite embracing sometimes as you would think she is not loved or spoiled by myself. All the builders have enjoyed her embrace and welcome. She's definitely not a guard dog, a biscuit or treat and she's yours! Life changed in 2020 my Husband Simon was Diagnosed Lung cancer and 2yrs later sadly lost his battle May 22. We all noticed Molly's behaviour was withdrawn and although she would respond to guests she looked sad, she homed in on my Dad who was also at home and often shared his digestive and some of his Sandwich at lunch. Sadly he has just passed away recently. Our home life and dynamic has changed in the house, i've got two young Teens who are soon starting University and others carry on with schooling. I'm working Full days. The greatest sadness is that I can't give Molly the time and attention she needs. This is very upsetting for me and the children. It is with a Heavy heart I have to make the Decision to bring her back, I'm sure she is the perfect Dog for a couple who doesn't want a demanding dog just one that will fuss and love her mostly a sleepy dog. Medically Molly is fit; there hasn't been any reason for her to require medical ongoing treatments. In April 2022 Molly had 22 teeth removed due to decay other than this nothing else. She's vaccination and worming treatment is up to date. If you are interested in offering Molly a home, please get in touch with us asap.

Sophie (Gypsy)
I’m Homed
I took little Gypsy to Fivelands this morning for her spey - Before going to the vets, we collect a urine sample and the little minx was too busy playing to want to wee so we were late getting to the vets! She stood up all the way in the car, looking out of the window and happily trotted in bless her. Kate went to fetch her this afternoon and although she is settled in her kennel, she has understandably lost her bounce for the moment. She is such a sweet girl and is off to her new home on Thursday x
