2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Wow - another crazy busy Daybreaks day today! This morning Samantha & Helen came along to take some photographs of our current residents and, as it was a lovely morning, we took them into the sand run for some exercise followed by a photoshoot! Nick, Brandy and Raven in particular enjoyed all the extra attention and the treats that followed!! Hopefully the ladies have managed to get some great shots of the boys & girls. We had 2 new arrivals mid morning - 2 beautiful little girls Mitzy and Evie. Mitzy is a very nervous, timid girl at the moment, and she wasn't very happy in the bath bless her. Evie is a little more outgoing, and hopefully they will soon adjust to their new surroundings and begin to settle. They did both polish off their dinner without any problems though!! The day was filled with viewings, visitors for the sand run, visitors dropping off donations of food, bedding and toys, and Jo and I didn't seem to draw breath all day! The residents enjoyed a walk this afternoon once the downpour had stopped, and are now all settled in their warm and cosy kennels for the night. Thanks for everyone's help today. Tomorrow night is the dress rehearsal for Daybreaks in cabaret. It will be the first time we have run the show from start to finish with props and costumes so fingers crossed it all works as well on stage as it does in my head!! Tickets are selling but please contact us to get yours booked - it will be a great evening. Well, you all know the routine by now for a Friday - wishes for a weekend of homings & time for a glass or two of wine! Have a good weekend all. Angie xx

I had the pleasure of collecting this lad and boy what a stunner. Pure black and very proud. His tail never stopped wagging the whole time I was with him. After such a lot of races he deserves a nice rest in his forever home. I have a feeling he won't wait too long,I love him already xx

The Little lass is just adorable! She came home with us last night but I’m afraid her work wasn’t done as she travelled with us over to Bournville to drop off some calming aids for Jimmy who was rehomed recently. She loved the car and settled straight away and wasn’t even upset at looking like a traffic warden in her fluorescent coat I put on her for safety of going out in the dark. We dropped by and quickly visited Maisie and Monty and then headed home. She has spent the night settled and curled up on her bed and the great news is after the phone call last night we have a viewing and offer of a home on Saturday!!! X
