We are going to Bude from the 9th so will miss your visit jetlucy such a shame as Finn loves socializing. He has had quite a traumatic day so the break will do him good lol. Let me explain. Now I always thought that Greys did not have many fat cells more muscle. Finn has proved me wrong. Today a chap I have a laugh with stopped me on our walk and gave him and Nina a fuss and said "is he a cross?" I said "no, why do you ask?" "Well" he said " he has a Greyhounds head but his body is so big I though he was crossed with a Rottweiler !!!!!" I think he was joking as usual. How very dare he, it's all muscle on the big lad and his coat WAS quite thick lol x

Rocky has such a lovely character, he is adorable and a loves to be as close to you as possible, have walked him twice and it's been a pleasure to walk. Good luck buddy xx????

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

This morning I created a lovely long 'to do list' and what a productive day it has been - all items have been ticked off with the help of Denise and our work experience students Emily and Nathan. A fabulous day and of course I got cuddles with my boys Nick and Teddy and the most beautiful greyhound in the world.... little Liza!!!!!!! If only...... 🙂

Today I have been mainly wearing..... a high vis jacket! Florence was very afraid of a lovely policeman and Daybreaks hound dad that we met. We can only think it was his high vis jacket. So as we have brought hi vis jackets for us and Florence to wear in deepest darkest Wales, I thought some training might be in order. Florence's reaction..... so not bothered. Maybe it was because it was a man. Tomorrow TC will be mainly wearing a high vis jacket! Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well, the Weather App was rubbish today! It said cloudy but mild when I looked at it this morning, but it was wet and cold today. 🙁 We had a lot of help this morning. 🙂 It was lovely to see some of our "old" Tuesday volunteers who haven't been able to come for a while. Caroline was dismayed at the state of the bedding store....thanks so much for having a go at sorting it for us! :)) Despite the drizzle our residents enjoyed their morning walks. Some of them went along the nearby public footpath into the field. I understand Roary didn't want to come back but just wanted to carry on walking. :)) We have some brilliant black boys at the kennels waiting for their forever homes. Nick, Brandy, Teddy, Roary, Jet and Raven. All of them with their own special personalities. Wish someone would give them a chance. Xxx We nearly had an extra inmate tonight. We were locking up the kennels when a little voice from inside called "please can someone let me out"...it was Declan one of our lovely volunteers! He was very relieved when we decided to release him! :)))) Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well back from France and went straight away to pick up Fat Neck Finn and Nina from Auntie Ruths loving care. I had told Fat Neck that he was going to a class reunion summer camp and to be honest I got more of a welcome from poor Nick than Finn when we arrived. It seems anyone who feeds him gets his full attention and affection He did wag his tail and look at my hands to see if I had bought him a foodie pressie, when he remembered I was the one who had got him the size he is, and then he was quite happy to run and jump in the back of the car.lol Since they came home Nina who always misses us and has to be tempted to eat if not with us has eaten everything in site and even beaten Finn to her bowl. He on the other hand appears bored stiff wandering round and missing all the hounds at Ruth's and I think the girls at the kennels. Never mind they are off to Bude soon with us so he can get back to "making shapes" in front of the patio window. Must get him some modesty pants !!!!!!!! lol
