Well Rocky, what can I say? Saw you when you arrived today and could have taken you straight home. Think you have got to be one of the happiest hounds I've seen on arrival, with that lovely wagging tail. Please get your self a new home quickly to save me the temptation.

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

Well what a very wet day! 🙁 It was lovely to see Jet this morning. He is a very handsome and happy lad. I know if it was possible his Mom would have left the kennels with several Brothers and Sisters for him! :)) Xx We had two more new arrivals today. Two gorgeous lads Ben and Rocky. We are so grateful to Alan and Richard for collecting them from the track for us. Bob is not very well at the moment so was unable to go. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Xx Our residents had a morning walk, but were not impressed with getting wet! Our volunteers were not happy either! 🙂 We did offer Gail an ankle length waterproof coat while she dried her own off in the tumble dryer....she turned us down; don't know why, it was only a couple of sizes too big for her!! Thanks so much everyone hope you have all dried out now! :)) x Pete is making good progress with the kitchen. All the rotten wood has been replaced now and we have a new door! Liza is a much happier girl today 🙂 She had a walk around the sand run along with Nick. Teddy is doing ok and can go for walks as long as he wears a boot. He could have done with some little Wellies today. 🙂 Xxx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!

So despite the rain we had a lovely time at the kennels this morning as jet had his pamper session! Thank you to Lucy, she's done a fantastic job, he looks and smells beautiful, just wish the show was tomorrow so he might actually win something looking as smart as he does now! However, stupid us cleared the supermarket shelf of sardines to bring...then left rushed out and left them behind! Will bring them to the show xxx

I am desperately appealing for a foster home for Nick. He needs some TLC whilst he recovers from his accident when he ran into a gate. The foster home needs to be a competent previous owner as he can be strong on the lead especially if he sees a squirrel but is generally good around other breeds and ok with children. He is bright but intermittently unsteady. We will fund all the costs whilst he is in foster so if you think you can help please call the kennels on 01217827702 and speak to myself (Ruth), Kate or Jo.
