2019 Daybreaks Diary!

What a difference in the weather! But is was great to see some rain! 🙂 It was a really busy and special day at the kennels.... The boys, Saddle and Roy have finally found their forever home. Thank you so much to Helen, Andy and their Greyhound kids Peg and Eoin for making them part of their family. :)) Gorgeous little Pip was officially signed up and now has new brother Archie to play with. 🙂 Absolutely Wonderful to see Horsey, Kenny and Pebbles all reserved today!! :)) Thank you so much to everyone who took a dog to the event at Sheldon Country Park today. Nick, Will and Petal all went along. I heard they all had a great time meeting lots of people and getting lots of cuddles! 🙂 Thanks so much to everyone who helped at the kennels today. We were a little short of walkers this morning but we were able to go on afternoon walks. This afternoon Ruth, Andy and Darren went off to visit our good friends Bob and Margaret and dismantled their kitchen worktops and cupboards! They brought them back to hopefully fit in the kitchen at the kennels!! I hasten to add it was with their permission! :))) We will be all posh! Xxx

The lovely Petal, Will and Nick joined us today at Sheldon Coyntry Park and ALL enjoyed there special time away from the kennels... They were all very well behaved and lavised all the cuddles and affection they got... X

Horse, I remember Barney made a run for it when mom first brought him home to foster. When he came back to stay the next day he soon realised how wonderful it was and it led to him meeting Uncle Ian, Auntie Deborah and Samantha who became his forever family. Hold tight and soon you'll have an amazing life! Lubs Florence xx

Petal

The lovely Petal came to Sheldon Country Park with me today. She is such a happy girl. She absolutely bounced out of her kennel with a very waggy tail. I barely got my car door open and she had jumped in. She settled immediately and I didn't hear a peep from her on the journey. Once in the park, she walked beautifully and I very much had the impression that she was really glad to be out and about . Once we got to the stand she stood patiently accepting all the fuss she could get. She was brilliant with everyone including tiny children, who stood eye to eye with her and more boisterous older ones. She's on the smaller side (or at least she is compared to my girl) and has a lovely shiny coat as well as a zest for life. I'm sure she will make a great companion for someone with a greyhound shaped hole in their lives!! X
